Here's the thing with Vin. If you didn't grow up listening to him then you truly do not know how much he was The Dodgers and major league baseball. The man painted pictures with his voice that not many could and no one to this day can replicate. No one. As much as Keith Jackson was a great announcer for college football, he didn't bring the story telling that Vin did. I get it they did different sports and absolutely no disrespect to Keith, but Vin was a step above and I can tell you that even Keith would say the same. In fact, Keith is writing an opinion piece for ESPN right now on his relationship with Vin.

R.I.P. Vin Scully

I loved listening to Vin Scully but I have to suggest the addition of Mel Allen with This Week in Baseball as an additional voice of baseball in my youth.
