OT: Rare wolverine sighting near Portland, OR
Being a resident of the lovely city of Portland I was happy to see this story of a wolverine passing through the area.
Hope you all are well. ✌🏼

Wolverines always on topic my dude
What do you think OT stands for?
On Topic.
I would expect an encounter between an Oregon Duck.. and a Wolverine - to be rather quick and short lived.
Dude is looking for an organic, locally-sourced, free range chicken or twelve.
This obviously means B1G expansion into Oregon is on. Next photo: lifeless carcass of Pac-12.
Maybe he's looking for a WalMart?
Seems like Oregon is never very hospitable to wolverines. The article says none have been seen for 12 years. And I certainly remember how they treated Michigan Wolverines when they were spotted in the area in 2003. I wouldn't blame this guy for leaving quickly as he apparently has.

Time to reschedule this series. Both home and away games were hard to watch.
I saw one at Bandon Dunes on 9/22/22! Have a picture. I sent it to koklaw, an expert outdoorsman, and he confirmed it was a wolverine.
Not sarcastic whatsoever, prove it. Everyone loves seeing pictures of them.

Wild. I was just out in that area this weekend. Not typical Wolverine habitat. Would love to see that pic. The wildlife here is amazing and so diverse like the landscapes.

All the upvotes - this is so F’n cool!
Hey, Portland has had a resident Wolverine since I moved here in 1993!!
(BTW I spotted a wolverine while backpacking in North Cascades National Forest in 1999 — northeast of Seattle — which at that time was thought to be beyond their usual range. Watched it for over an hour mostly thru binoculars, nervously, as we had already set up camp and had two dogs w/us. Fortunately we were across a fairly big river and after a while the fellow wandered off)
I live in Portland, saw it on local news
Hope I see this guy tomorrow when I'm skiing on MT Hood
