OT: Nick Sheridan named RB coach at CMU
He'd been an offensive GA at Tennessee the last two years. Also, I didn't realize Bill was still coaching.
Congratulations to Nick. We'll always have that Minnesota game...

At the time, I was hoping the team had finally turned the corner.

I guess its all relative, but probably not many people on this board should be questioning the athleticism of someome who played college ball... also, just seems unnecessary.

He has a better record than Shane Morris vs. Minnesota.

from GA to critical position coach in an FBS program. Often guys will have to take an intermediate QC or recruiting only role. Happy for the guy. The MAC has always been a great place to learn the craft.*
*no, not referring to Brian Kelly

with those arms. Serious note, congrats to him

Better suited to be a RB coach than QB.
In all seriousness though, I remember when criticism of him got real heated and some of the defense for him was that he likely never expected to see the field in that important a role, that his primary goal was to be a coach someday.
If true, always easy to root for people who are achieving their dreams.

It's not easy to be asked to go out there to perform a role you know you can't master, the people asking you know you can't perform in, everyone watching knows you can't suceed at. You're just asked to do it because *someone* has to go out and do it just to get it over with. Good luck to him.
