My fraternity brothers used to have quite a different and more offensive use for the term "split M" a few years back!
I just gained the ability to upvote. However, now I'm tempted to create a whole new profile and post prolifically to reach 100 points just so I can come and upvote your comment again. I REALLY don't like this whole bucknutz nonsense.
I don't think terms like this are clever or funny; they just seem rude and douchey to me, which I think is a misrepresentation of all the intelligent people we have here.
Just my opinion. I'm not going to downvote him for using it or anything, I'd just much prefer that this not become a common occurance.
IMO. When I see M fans use these terms the first thing I think of is MSU or OSU fans. Enough said.
Profit?
2. Be loud when the other team is on offense
SIT YOUR ASS DOWN ON THIRD DOWN!!! I DIDNT PAY FOR A SEAT TO STAND!!!

How big of an overlap do you think there is between MGoUsers with 20k points and people that yell when whipper snappers stand on third down?

I have stood the entire game for EVERY home game vs. ohio since the 1990's. Absolutely NO ONE COMPLAINS. Now try that against UNLV and ........
Go Blue!
In the words of Mitch McGary:
WIN THE GAME!
I still LOL every time I see this.
Wolverine State Brewing Company. A Hidden fucking treasure.
Hey.... A/S/L???
My favorite local beer. Was there last night. Drank way too much (for a weeknight anyway). The pulled-pork nachos are not to be missed.
You can maybe sit down at halftime, but that should be it. It's a football game - not the ballet.
Create a frenzied atmosphere like the old days!
in person in 2013 had tickets in the endzone/corner and it was fantastic! other than the failed 2pt conversion of course...
Lots of Walmart gear. And they bring a little noise.
In 2011, The Game felt primal over there. Our tribe vs theirs. Ater the game a guy next to me was yelling at a group of red jerseys making their way up the steps: "GET IN YOUR CARS! TAKE 23 SOUTH! TURNS INTO 75. KEEP GOING F***ING SOUTH UNTIL YOU GET BACK TO OHIO!!!"

Excuse me for not wanting someone who has to buy two airplane seats to be standing in front of me the entire game. Some true Michigan fans, mostly alumni, don't have the physical ability to stand for 3+ hours. And don't kid yourself! Standing up and yelling like a damn ruffian isn't helping the team. That sort of behavior only serves to make the University look like it endorses a bunch of rowdy hooligans causing havoc in the stands. You can root on the team while also acting like adults!
No.9 & the Drum line an hour or so before the game is one of my never miss traditions.
Jingle your keys during important plays.
*ON DEFENSE... Don't do it when MIchigan has the ball.
And jingle your keys during key plays.
Yeah, please be loud and crazy!!!!! Stand up and cheer these boys to victory. Don't go to the game if you're just wanting to spectate...you can do that at home for cheap. We want fans at the game who are there to cheer and be loud and help the Home Crowd atmosphere.

When I was a student, I loved the walk through central campus, down state street and across on Hoover to get to the stadium: Mobs of maize shirts and frequent impromptu chants of go blue as well as heckling of opposing fans. It's a great way to get pumped up for the game.
Plus: BONGO MAN! Is he still there? I hope so. He was the best.
An added bonus was that when the game was over you didn't have to wait in ridiculous traffic. You could pretty much jump right on the highway.

This^ I love the walk through campus, over to the Union, then down State Street and up Hoover with the massed crowd. It's a scene. Parking is also cheaper and easier.
This was going to be my reply. There are few things that I miss more about being in AA in the fall than the feeling I would get marching with the unending sea of fans down State and along Hoover in the communal procession to the stadium. The energy and sheer volume of Michigan supporters is something truly special to behold.
I second this - I get goosebumps thinking about the excitement making the trek down State and onto Hoover. GO BLUE!!!!
...actually cheered me up ever so slightly after Colorado '94. Should have been impossible. Good dude that Bongo Man.
I think he was new to the scene that year. He may not have updated his rhymes, but like the Red Panda, who cares?
I'm ready, pucker up MeanJoe!
