"UPDATE: Gerard Martinez of Scout reports that Udeze is expected to be named USC’s defensive line coach. Football Scoop has echoed the report of Udeze’s looming promotion."

"If Udeze has indeed been hired on, this would be his first full-time coaching position. He served as an assistant strength coach at Washington for three seasons under Steve Sarkisian. After two years as an assistant and fellow in the NFL, he spent one year at Pitt with the same title before joining USC almost exactly a year ago."

edit: people seemed to be freaking about about Gary's glowing review of usc. The only questionable part of their visit seemed to be who would be the DL coach. I have to imagine this hurts their chances, hence why it's relevant.

This USC thing kinda feels like the inverse of what we went through last year. We had a new coaching staff that wowed a lot of highly rated recruits but we just didn't have the time to build the relationships they had with other schools. Now Michigan is in the position of the school that has built a strong relationship with Gary over the last year and USC is having to make up the ground.
