OT - Heisman Ceremony
Award is later tonight, but discussion with the nominees has started during half-time of the Army/Navy game.
Can anyone make a compelling case for Gordon or Cooper?
I'm almost positive it's Mariota this year, but any other season I'd be Hangin' with Mr. Cooper.

I would love for it to go to a wide out especially one like Coop who shines even on a team that is loaded with 5 stars.

I'm of the mindset that while Gordon is a very good back, some of his success was due to playing horrible defenses.....until he ran into OSU last Saturday. He looked like a beaten man at the end of that game. Any chance he had, I believe, went away with 2.9 YPC.

It seems like the only real question is whether or not Mariotta will break the record for first place votes.

You are right about Mariota, it will be more entertaining to watch this than the actual ceremony

Before last Saturday, anyway. I think the championship games pretty much cemented that it's gonna be Mariota.

I don't know but if we can find him maybe we can find Funchess.

Every Richrod QB

No disrespect to him. He's a great RB, but Mariota taking home the hardware is essentially a formality at this point.

The 2nd question is will Mariota break the record (that Desmond holds) for widest margin of victory.
Those are really the only things we should be talking about.

Cooper is a great WR, but Mariota's numbers are just really impressive. It's just great to watch him run that offense.

it was at the downtown athletic club of course right in NY, 1/2 a block from the world trade center. when we played in new york they would put us up at the DTAC which is alot like the detroit athletic club in terms of it's history, great facilities, neat older building.
the heisman room was wood paneled and had every heisman winner's picture hanging on the wall. every winner that is, except one. OJ was strangely missing...

Just because everything he does, says, makes you boil over with Michigan Pride in a time where we're fucking awful.

Mariotta.... I'm shocked - not.... However, you cannot say he's not deserving. I just looked at this stat line and wow:

Actually, Tim Brown (wide receiver) at Notre Dame won the Heisman in 1987... He was the first non-QB/RB to do so. But, we still have the only defensive player to do so!
