OT gambling - what site do you use?

Submitted by eric jay on
What site does everyone use for gambling? I previously used bodog and was about to reload that account when I noticed ewallet appears to be the only way to withdraw money. Ewallet charges ten percent on withdrawls. So a ten percent tax on anything I win from the house? No thanks. Any suggestions on where I should take my business?

I honestly don't have a clue. I don't actually use it very often and have only gotten up to about $5 before I do something stupid and put $5 on a 5 game improbable parlay to win like a bajillion dollars.

I have a friend who got over $20 once. He said that he applied to cash out, but they only pay about ten ppl from each bracket, so you have to have one of the ten best percentages, and it is really hard to be that good. It seems like they pay, but it is HARD to be one of the ppl that actually gets money.

In no order: Sportsbook.com 5dimes.com pinnaclesports (for those of you abroad. They dont take U.S. business anymore. Thank you, government moralists!) betfirstclass I use the first two and to answer the gentlemen above they do pay out. But, you have to win first. I dont think you will have too many problems with either of the above. And, as long as its not pinnacle, if you do have problems, start a forum post about it. I "know" a few people who run gambling forums, they are big advertisers of those sites and maybe I could use whatever influence I have there to get a call or two made on your behalf.....this is especially so for BetFirstClass. Good luck, my fellow capper!

Guardian Guaranty until Congress passed a law banning off-shore gambling and the United States government was cracking down on off-shore gambling. They are still in business, because they call me once a month, but I am not sure if it is legal.

As someone who gambles for a living--I play poker for what it's worth--I can say from first and second hand experience that a vast majority of people who "know what they're doing" are still -EV against the house. And a lot of guys who seem to be beating it are just running above expectation. Of course far more people could beat the game if it wasn't for the high vig that they need to overcome. But a combination of the spread, which is often used only to induce action, but can also be a tool to gain more of an edge, and the vig is just impossible for most gamblers to overcome. If you aren't devoting a TON of your time to research and also doing the right kind of research, you don't have much of a chance. That said, sports betting is a fun way to have a stake in games you don't care much about, or to have more of a stake in games you do care about.

I actually recieved money I won from them. The only hiccup is that their credit card server is overseas and your credit card company may not approve the charge. Luckily my credit card company just called to verify the charge and allowed it to go through.

I work with this stoner who thinks he's very wise. He often likes to take the underdog and I can usually get him to drop the spread. I'll just give you his number.

I use Sportsbook. Easy to use, good job of tracking bets, and they've paid me every time. Usually takes about two weeks to get a cashier check for a withdrawal. Been using it for last 4 years and no problems.
