OT: CFB Risk is back!
Since *everything* is now in off season and many people are stuck at home (and more will follow), a bit of good news is the the college-football themed online Risk game is starting up again Monday. The first run was in summer 2018, but it has been improved since then. Might be a good way to pass the quarantine time.

If we focus all our efforts on East Lansing, could we remove Sparty from the game on the first turn?
I haven't read the rules obv

Don't know but I just attacked them anyway. Dirty Spartans must die!

As a former Yooper, I hate that the U.P is considered Wisconsin

Once a Yooper, always a Yooper!

Michigan basketball also plays at 1pm today (Reddit tournament). It has been pretty entertaining thus far. Make sure to stream it on YouTube r/collegebasketball
Moved tip time back to 2pm. Extra screening to ensure fans are COVID-free.

Is there a slack channel or something to coordinate like last year?

I accidentally logged on with an old reddit account that I don't use. Is there any way to log out and use my new one or does it not matter since it's just used for initial login in? Tried clearing cookies but that didn't work
Nevermind, figured it out.

If anyone is interested in playing I encourage you to use the https://michigancfbrisk.com/ website to get orders for each turn. It helps with organization of our team's attack/defense and allows for a more cohesive strategy.
You go to michigancfbrisk.com each day to get your assignment, then go to collegefootballrisk.com to execute your assignment.
A quick summary of the game: On turn 1, each team starts with their home territory. It is up to each team to recruit players and coordinate moves. You can choose to defend any territory that your team currently holds or attack any adjacent territory. A "roll" happens each evening at 11 PM EST to calculate which teams have won which territories that turn based on the moves that were made by individual players. The ultimate goal is to conquer as much of the map as possible for your team. There are a number of different ways to do this, such as through recruiting players in sheer numbers or forming alliances with other teams. More info about how the game works can be found on https://collegefootballrisk.com/help
We also have a dedicated discord server here, https://discord.gg/4whC3ky , where we will discuss strategy for the game. We also talk about all Michigan sports as well as general off-topic discussions throughout the day.

Got my first assignment! Yay!

Try it before you knock it. Besides, there's not much else actively going on college sports-wise right now.
Name of the game this year is playing consistently. If you play during each of the first 25 turns, you'll be a 3 star, which is worth 6 times as much as a new player.
Might as well. It's the only college football action we're likely to get this year.
Important note, the new subreddit is:
https://www.reddit.com/r/CollegeFootballRisk/
r/CFBRisk is no longer active.
Looks like I'm a 4-star, but I'm going rouge this time. Was boring as hell doing what I was told.
Rouge is all wrong - maybe magenta or electric blue instead.
No CFB Pandemic?
For a coordinated attack/defend, go to https://michigancfbrisk.com/ for your assignment. This discord balances our attack and makes sure enough people will defend our territories.
