OT: 2020 Corvette is a thing of beauty

Submitted by FabFiver5 on July 19th, 2019 at 9:23 AM

So GM unveiled the 2020 Corvette Stingray late last night, an all-new mid-engine performance machine. Looks aggressive and mean from a profile perspective and tons of customization options. They didn't announce much on pricing, other than it would start at less that $60,000.

If I nitpicked, it would be that the taillights look like they are copied/pasted from the Camaro, and the interior row of climate buttons is a little funky looking.

All in all, should be a great and exciting new flagship for the Chevrolet brand.

When I worked at GM, I drove one and was in them a lot. The climate control concern you have is real. The picture doesn't do it justice, it feels like there is a giant wall between you and the passenger.

Absolutely no way to get road-head in this car...

Wow! Feels like a huge departure from previous Corvettes. I love it except for the rear which, at least in these photos, looks busy and lacks the elegance of other design elements.

Would love to have one as my second car.

Yep, nothing but local car dealer ads hanging over the top of my screen.  Dear Faulkner Motors:  advertising your “New 2018 Mazdas” may be a sign of wasted money...

I live in Bowling Green and work near The GM plant.  These cars are awesome and watching them leave on test drives and in car haulers is definitely a highlight.

It's certainly striking, will undoubtedly have monster performance, and at a great value, but it doesn't look like a corvette to me. Take the badge off and you'd have no idea. A lot of the styling is really nice, it even has some lines that could be classic, but the ledge halfway down the door throws them off a bit. The wing is also an... interesting choice. If they did the automatic wing or the air dam wing then, again, the styling would be cleaner and look better to the eye.

that is not a corvette.  that is a chevrolet version of a ferrari or lamborgini.

give me a 1959 stingray with the white inlays or a 1971 stingray with the chrome bumper.

i don't understand why they want to copy someone else when they were their own thing.

love the curves on the older corvettes.
