Looks like some schools are negatively recruiting OSU for their inability to produce WR's who are ready for NFL systems.

Everything you tweet is archived at the Library of Congress. Everything. This had been your daily PSA. Also, the past tense of Tweet is definitely Twat.

The ass whoopin OSU put on Michigan to the tune of 42-13. Sounds to me ( and everyone else outside of AA) like you are a sore assed crybaby. I have bad news, Zack and Jims boys are coming for that ass again, and they will have it.

What is this now -- his 6th Twitter rant in the last year about other teams trying to compete in recruiting with him? The guy gets upset any time anyone talks about him... Tennessee, Nebraska, Michigan, etc. etc.

The fact of the matter is he is a sourpuss who will forever be a position coach because of it. The only way he could possibly ever negative recruit us is by saying, "Oh, yeah. Well Jedd Fisch is going to be a Head Coach in the next three years."

Funny thing too is I wonder what BS Urban has him saying about other coaches he's recruiting against. I remember stories coming out where Urbs was telling recruits that Brady Hoke was going to leave for a job in the NFL after the Sugar Bowl season...ugh why does everyone in OSU football have to be such a complete douchebag? Oh well here's to Zach...

...how much of his claim has merit.

4 of those guys haven't caught a pass yet in the NFL,

Streater has got a total of 10 passes the last 2 seasons combined,

Devin Smith only 1.

Serious question: Who's the last pro bowl skill player to come out of OSU?

From that PFT article you cite above.  Every school recruiting against OSU has every right to bring that up and hammer it home.  It's a daming statement coming straight from the Offensive Coordinator.

Offensive coordinator Chan Gailey said that Smith’s football education at Ohio State didn’t leave him prepared to make an instant impact at the professional level.

OSU has only been running a gimmick (lol) offense for 4 years.

When Carlos Hyde is not injured, he's been very good for San Fran. Can't really fault the spread for Hyde's knees. Philly Brown was a starter on a team that made the Super Bowl. While the Devin Smith criticism is fair, he was also hurt a lot, and stuck behind two Pro-Bowl caliber WRs in NY, so his chances to make an instant impact were limited off the jump. Jeff Huerman tore his ACL immediately after arriving in Denver.

More importantly, your gimmick offense sample size is pretty small, no? All of the kids I just listed only played two years under Meyer, and wasted an entire formative season being head coached by a co-DC. Let's see how 'Zeke, Mike Thomas, Braxton, Nick Vannett and Jalin Marshall do before we bury OSU's ability to pump out NFL skill-players.

I quit reading your comment after "Carlos Hyde has been good when he is not injured." Have you watched Carlos Hyde in the NFL? I have had him in fantasy football, and he has never been good. He is on par with Antonio Andrews. I mean that's great for a guy who went undrafted. The fact of the matter is Thomas "3rd string at Michigan" Rawls has been better than Hyde to this point.

Well he had 170 and 2 TDs in his first game, then got hurt in his second game against the Steelers, was never the same, and was shut down by game 7. He was averaging over 4 ypc while being hurt 90% of the time in his first year as a starter, on a dreadful team with a dreadful QB. I'd say he was ok.

It will certainly be interesting to see how OSU players do in the NFL, and if they take extra time to learn the pro aspects of the game.  There is no doubt many at OSU will get drafted because NFL teams love athleticism and high upside which OSU has been recruiting in spades.  But the OSU offense is also predicated on simple reads to take advantage of that athleticism and minimize the mental aspects of the game.  It's an offense that works really well in college and thatis Meyer's main goal; win in college.

\Harbaugh is using the NFL angle to sell Michigan to recruits because he's been there and many of his coaches have too.  He doesn't have the track record that Meyer does so he's using his strengths in recruiting.   The number of kids who he recruited at Stanford who ended up in the NFL is ridiculous if you look at where Stanford was in 2007.

Will be very interesting to see Meyer and Harbaugh recruiting against each other in the years to come as both are super competitive and are selling different aspects of success.
