Can't wait for Elliott's sobbing, remorseful apology to Harbaugh and the team (except I could do without the head on his shoulder while rubbing his face and head, Meyer routine).

I love this.....it goes against the arrogant mentality of every OSU fan I know. If we can begin to win on the field, chaos in Columbus will ensue.

Meyer probably had the face palm reaction when Smith made his initial comments. IMO this made it even worse, now OSU looks weak (and clearly lost the battle) where the alternative was them looking hypocritical when they went down to Florida.

They had a camp in Florida the year before.  Not full on practices but they've been down there before this.

I do agree that the apology looks dumb.  I don't know why he apogized at all.  He said nothing wrong.  He was dead on.

You know, Smith's tweet was some quality shade, and quite honestly, there was not a whole lot in his statement that we could rightfully be upset about. Harbaugh's reply was equally epic as well and I was looking forward to some great back-and-forth through the offseason.

For him to come out and apologize for this disappoints the part of me that honestly wanted to be entertained, although as someone noted above, someone probably did remind him that what Michigan did benefits the Big Ten by extension in that it gives OSU and others a blueprint for their own incursions into sacred SEC territory.

I know we are supposed to defend ours and all, but what Smith said wasn't every bit as good as Harbaugh's "you reap what you sow" or "karma" or whatever it was tweet RE: Weber?

I think it was.

Perhaps the back-tracking by Smith is to leave room for OSU to go down to Florida. I believe Meyer has said he would like to do a similar type of Spring Break trip. Otherwise, I can't think of any other reason to apologize. Even so, it does seem odd that Smith would apologize.

Coach Harbaugh apologizes to no man. There is no reason to, he meant what he said. Him not caring what any of his enemies think is one of his many wonderful qualities.
