I don't think Coach necessarily wanted to provide bulletin board material to Notre Dame, but now each has it

*I hate the term bulletin board material, especially for a rivalry game that doesn't need it.  UTL at the Big House speaks for itself in its magnitude

This is like that moment in high school when you find out all your "friends" had a nickname for you, and you actually think it's pretty funny and start using it yourself, and then you get a letterman jacket and put your nickname on it and then everyone respects you because your cool like that and are cool with yourself, and everyone likes you and your nickname and then you get to college and it suddenly seems really dumb so you try real hard to come up with a new nickname and now everyone thinks you are so lame because your trying to be something you're not and you think, I wish I could go back to high school and be MeatChicken again. Sigh. And this one time at band camp...

as what he calls himself on Twitter,1 Irish Chocolate. I suppose this makes him a ladies man. Although everyone knows the only time women eat chocolate, is when they are depressed and or pregnant

The kid is defending his school; I respect that.  I also may want to add, "Bring it on, moth...."

Well, you get the idea.

Mr. Hayes of the Sporting News wrote an Op-Ed for today's Sporting News. In the article, he attempts to make the statement supporting Notre Dame dropping the Michigan game; not because they are "chicken", but because they like the view from the top. Thank you Mr. Hayes for proving Hoke's point. Notre Dame wants to drop the Michigan game because there is a coin flip chance they will lose, regardless of how good they are. They also KNOW a loss to the Maize and Blue will remove them from any title contention; regardless of how good they are. In other words, playing Michigan is not worth the risk of falling out of title contention. To translate for those who do not speak Notre Dame; they are afraid they might lose and not get a title shot. Mr. Hayes, well spoken; CHICKEN!
