Nico Collins and His Last Official Visit to Georgia (Edited)

Submitted by Caesar on

Edit: This is actually not breaking news or anything. It has been known for some time. Here's the info (link), which read a bit like breaking news.

On the other hand, he has visited Michigan many times, and Harbaugh just had a visit with him.

I don't understand why the automatic response to Kirby Smart killing the recruiting trail is "BAGMEN!!!!$$$$$$"

Sure, UGA went 8-5 this season, but Smart can easily play that off to recruits as a "transition year." The vast majority (17/23) of Smart's current class is homegrown talent from GA. Richt failed to lock up the state during his tenure there, but Smart has made it a priority to keep in-state kids close to home. Plus, a lot of recruits are probably going to be easily enamored by Smart's history and 4 rings from 'Bama.

If we get Martin i'm not concerned.  Seems like we already got a Nico Collins type of athlete in Tarik Black.  And people forget that Tarik and Martin are both regarded better prospects according to 247.  If we close out with Aubrey and Oliver Martin then this class will be bonafied top-shelf shit.  But we really need one more of those southern dudes to drop for Michigan so we establish some more momentum in SEC territory.   Looks like our best chance is with Aubrey.  Cripes.

This would be a big/huge loss for Michigan. They had a huge lead on him, he had visited 4-5 times, and invested a lot of time into him. Might not hurt as much as Wilson, but it's a big loss. I only like DJP over him. I can see Martin having a better college career than nico.

lol sorry what is your "position" again? "michigan only admits the best" or whatever stupid thing you said that i can't be bothered to scroll up to confirm. that's both a dick thing to say and also irrelevant to nico collins deciding to visit another school. unless of course you're saying he wouldn't/didn't get admitted, in which case it'd be relevant but you'd still be a dick.

Seriously?  You do remember what happened when some of our players stretched a little too long, right?  You think that wouldn't repeat itself if we matched an SEC offer?

They get thier way when we take a spring practice trip somewhere.  What do you think would happen if we tried to play thier game on thier standards?
