More noteworthy Donovan Edwards Activity
Nothing earth-shattering here....but worth noting based on yesterday's forum topic.
Yesterday evening, Donovan Edwards posted a picture of himself on a Michigan visit wearing the Maize and Blue with this caption:
"I got a smile on my face while I'm in my city"
This alludes to one of four options in my mind:
1) Trieu/Wiltfong's CB's don't mean Edwards is going to O$U, and he is subtly reassuring everyone
2) Edwards is undecided, and the intel he provided to Trieu/Wiltfong was blown out of proportion
3) Edwards does want to go to O$U, but he wants to try and do it as peacefully as possible
4) Edwards is trolling Michigan and will end up in Columbus
Based on the fact that he is close with Paige/Wheeler/McCarthy/others, I have a hard time believing he would troll Michigan, so option #2 seems to make the most sense, even if it is just speculation.

If Jim Harbaugh doesn't land Donovan Edwards he should seriously go back to the NFL because he literally has every advantage in this recruitment working in his favor and yet the guy won't put in the effort to recruit Donovan personally like Ryan Day. Recruiting is the o of a program and he just doesn't get it. Thats why OSU keeps beating that ass. They recruit their fucking asses off. Does Jim? No, he doesn't. That's why he's 0-5.

Maybe you should go explain it to him, as you’ve clearly got it all figured out. Maybe put together your resume for a recruiting position because it’s clear that none of these schlubs “get it” on the level that you do. I mean, WTF are they even thinking?! They’re clearly just lazy, incompetent, sorry sacks who are just milking the program while doing fuck all!
Better yet, maybe you could haunt the Michigan blogosphere and complain IN-FUCKING-CESSANTLY about it every day! Oh wait, you already do that, and it’s clearly not working.
My suggestion is finding another hobby. Bowling, golf, fly fishing. Or, just STFU!

Someone needs to explain it to him because he clearly doesn't get it. You listen to Allen Trieu and Steve Wiltfong's podcast today? They said head coaches can't just be closers anymore and recruiting is a 9 inning sports and the main reason why feels Michigan is running third for Edwards, yes third, is because Jim Harbaugh isn't putting in the effort. The man makes 8 million dollars a year and doesn't recruit. That's why OSU kicks our ass every year.
I'm fucking sick of it and won't "STFU" about it until it changes. Jesus Christ its so embarrassing what this program has become and some of you people are more concerned about people being negative than actually beating OSU. Newsflash maybe if UM beat OSU more than once every 20 years people wouldn't bitch. Get that through your skull.

This guy is obviously a concern troll who joined a couple of days ago. See the posting history.
Several OSU nuts came over to the board to review the Edwards melt down two days ago. On seeing a good portion of the comments weren't freak outs, they were sad, and starting posing as Michigan fans criticizing Harbaugh. These shitbirds from Ohio believe these posts reflect negatively on Michigan.
Granted, sometimes it's difficult to distinguish between them and a real disillusioned M fan lol. But not here, this guy's an obvious troll who came over with the original Edwards thread on 2/24.

I listened to Sam Webb talk about Edwards at length this morning, and at no point did he say "Harbaugh needs to be in more consistent contact with Edwards and his dad."
There is also nothing in his twitter TL with that comment, either. Unless you can identify a specific time and place where he said this, you're putting words in Webb's mouth.

He is Maizen, back again. All the hallmarks are there: Posts almost exclusively in football recruiting threads? Check. Focuses exclusively on negative news? Check. Drops f-bombs at the drop of a hat? Check. Cites podcasts and coach quotes as gospel? Check. Has an unerring certainty that nobody else understands the importance of recruiting? Check.

So, as Don asked below, do you think that whining about it incessantly on MGoBlog is going help effectuate the changes you’re looking for? If you honestly care that much, and think you have a solution, why not make a real effort to communicate with Harbaugh? Maybe he’ll listen.
If not, what’s the point? Remember, Michigan fires the last coach to beat OSU.

Yeah any top running back that has the chance to go to OSU or Bama should pursue that opportunity and never look back. It's really a no brainer if you're looking at a future in the NFL.

True, but if I'm the next tier down and don't get an offer from either of these places, I want to go to Wisconsin.
No, you're not going to win a national championship, but you'd be going into a system that has churned out record-breaking RBs for two decades, has multiple RBs playing and in some cases even starring in the NFL right now, and you'll be running behind an offensive line that is consistently one of the biggest and best in the country year after year. And you'll win a lot of football games and possibly get to the Rose Bowl at least once in your tenure.
At OSU and Bama, you are a huge part of the offense as the RB. At Wisconsin, you are the offense.

Denard Robinson was drafted to play running back in 2013.
But overall, Michigan's last true running back to be chosen was Mike Hart in 2008 (6th round, Colts).

Trieu and Wiltfong podcast said OSU #1 for Edwards. Georgia in 2nd place. Michigan in 3rd. LSU in 4th, but could move up when he visits them.

I think Wiltfong is telling the truth and the fanboys here just don't want to accept it. How many more big time recruits have to leave this state before people admit we have a problem? How many more times does harbaugh have to finish outside the top 10 in the recuiting rankings before they admit we have a problem? How many more losses to osu before people demand a change from harbaugh?
Why is it so hard to accept the fucking truth? Jim Harbaugh is a lazy ass recruiter and the results are showing that. Donovan Edwards should be a fucking layup but Jim Harbaugh is getting outworked by Ryan Day and Tony Alford. Let that sink in. Trieu and Wiltfong and Webb aren't just throwing this out there lightly. But I forgot, everyone who criticizes Harbaugh has a vandetta. We are all just trolls and haters. Meanwhile Jim is 2-11 against top 10 teams with 0 big ten titles and zero wins against osu.
Maybe if people demanded better from Harbaugh things would change but no keep living in denial while OSU hangs another 60 on us. Still time for Michigan to reassert itself. I remember when when it looked like Makari Paige was all but wrapped up in a bow for OSU. It never happened and Michigan got him in he end.
