Such great news for him, his family, and the team.

have to admit to real ambivalence about risking him to further injury.

Good news for us, bad news for Peters. He's gonna get Gardner'd big time by that OSU DL.
November 20th, 2017 at 1:01 PM ^
simply does not say that, man.

in fact a material difference. Lots of ifs in there.

is still a chance. And if he can't play, we are still no worse off than after he left on Saturday. So, they are still saying there's a chance.
Man, I want this game so badly.
November 20th, 2017 at 4:32 PM ^
he's not ready to be prepared for OSU game. I bet JOK will start with Peters backing up if necessary. The way he laid down limp after a hit is concerning. I'd be surprised if he's playing against OSU
November 20th, 2017 at 1:03 PM ^
He really does not, no... Bad, BAD OP!!!
"Harbaugh said if Peters is free of symptoms, he has to do cardio and lifting and then see if symptoms are there the next day. Once that happens, he'd be allowed to practice without contact. Could happen as early as Wednesday."

currently constituted on the link, it isn't good news or bad news. It isn't news.
November 20th, 2017 at 1:12 PM ^
It's not as good as the news we are all hoping for, but...at least it means that he hasn't been ruled out.
Soooo...he is saying there's a chance...
November 20th, 2017 at 1:13 PM ^
OK, but you really should edit the title of your post, man. Because as it stands now, it ain't accurate.

Send everyone long, roll out of the pocket, and chuck that thing as far as you can.
That should do it!

I am excited at the prospect of him being ready to play, but it worries me to see an athlete back in the next week after being knocked out cold. I'd rather lose the game and see him held out for precautionary measures in case he starts experiencing any symptoms.
November 20th, 2017 at 1:16 PM ^
From all reports, he was knocked out cold. To put him in a game, at the most mentally difficult position, just a week later makes me incredibly nervous and, frankly, is something I hope doesn't happen.
From what we've learned about concussion, a "second impact" concussion can literally have immediate, life threatening/altering effects. God forbid he gets crushed by Bosa or some other OSU player and would get another one.
So unless there is some way for them to be 100% certain that he is completely over his concussion by Saturday, he should not play. Save him for the bowl game and more importantly, think of his short and long-term health.
November 20th, 2017 at 2:55 PM ^
Let's step it up and win one we aren't supposed to.

I don't think many people care much about a bowl game. We are tired of getting dominated in what used to be the greatest rivalry in sports.
November 20th, 2017 at 2:15 PM ^
...than I do the OSU game or the bowl game.
He had a concussion two days ago. If he has another one vs OSU, the chances of him having significant health effects climb significantly.
November 20th, 2017 at 2:36 PM ^
100% correct. Beat the Buckeyes anyway.
November 20th, 2017 at 3:02 PM ^
with any loss of consciousness (seconds) we were taught that it would be at least 10 days before they would allow a player to return. The longer the player was knocked out, the longer they would have to sit before being able to return. While we all want to see him back, I think it is very unlikely that he would be cleared to play in one week.
November 20th, 2017 at 8:28 PM ^
A head injury. A sudden force to knock your breath out can lead to unconsciousness. Also any trauma to your neck can cause unconsciousness. Just because Peters lost consciousness does not mean it was due to a head injury.
November 20th, 2017 at 1:01 PM ^
He doesn't say Peters is "symptom-free."
Harbaugh said if Peters is free of symptoms, he has to do cardio and lifting and then see if symptoms are there the next day. Once that happens, he'd be allowed to practice without contact. Could happen as early as Wednesday.
Big difference here. Eh?
November 20th, 2017 at 1:03 PM ^
this OP is inaccurate. Title should be changed or post deleted.

More good news: Tom Brady has remaining collegiate eligibility; will suit up vs. the Buckeyes on Saturday.

Great news. We will need to score 30 to win, so I would rather have Peters than JOK.

Awesome news! Here I am, once again, believing that we have a chance against these shitdicks. If Peters can go full strength, I'd say that gives us a solid shot. Hopefully the crowd brings it. I was there in 2003, which was the loudest I've ever heard that place and hope we can replicate the noise!
November 20th, 2017 at 1:04 PM ^
Thank fucking god
Edit: Damn it OP
