I watched the first episode after I saw some Twitter comments and I can't believe this is non-fiction. I never knew that he was from Connecticut. I sat there wondering how his life might have been different if he was drafted by a team far from his hometown. I wondered the same thing about Charles Rogers.

In the series one of his childhood friends was hoping he would get drafted by a team on the west coast. Furthest away from the northeast as possible.

That was a big part of the Todd Marinovich story as well. He needed to be drafted by a team as far from the west coast as possible. Instead, the LA Raiders took him and suddenly he had the NFL money to pair with the USC and high school crew of enablers to fully weaponize his addictions.
