Michigan Wayne State highlights. This team is going to be fun to watch. And Coach Juwan might want them to shoot free throws in practice.

We got some good pieces! Did I hear someone say, 'Reload'? Well I shoulda! There was something good to say about all the guys that played, but in particular Moussa was active and athletic, and Houstan looks buttery smooth. It seemed everyone had something to show; this team has a lot of potential.

lol Moussa was eye-popping. He will be devastating.

Devante Jones looked amazing - we keep hearing this but still he was better and more active and more in control than my expectations.

Kobe had that one three that made me think he'll be Jordan Poole.

The three point shooting looked great (highlights only). Johns, TWill, Brooks, Devante.... (strangely, not Houstan)

This video did not help to tamper my already unrealistic expectations.

Williams and Bufkin can both fill it up. It was interesting that Nunez was the first in and promptly drained a long three-without hesitation. It does not appear as though finding shooters is a problem this team will routinely face.

I had never seen the athleticism of Diabate in a full game context-WOW!!!

Seen a lot of basketball in the last decade and this team looks legit (from what can be extrapolated from a sloppy game against a D2 team). Energy looks good. New players look good. Returning players look good. Once this team gets going, finds its rotation and starts to hit its stride; it’ll be a tough out for any team.

My thoughts after having the game on in the background last night, and rewatching highlights this morning:

Jones is a huge defensive upgrade over Smith. He is great at jumping passing lanes and getting steals. Plus dude is build like a tank

He also looks very comfortable distributing the ball, and scoring when needed. Had a few really nice passes, including a ridiculous behind the back out to top of the key from traffic that came as he traveled

Houstan looks talented but still does a couple freshman things that would fly in HS but not in college.

Diabete is going to be a monster. Raw on his footwork and FT's but a defensive terror and obscenely athletic

Johns looks less hesitant than years past. Brooks looks like his old self too

Dickinson looks slimmer and had some good passes and occasional use of his right hand around the basket

T Williams looks slimmer too and outside shot looked pretty good

Overall I thought the team played really well despite some really odd lineups and a bit of a slow start. Real excited for the season

I would say that Brooks is better than his "old self". He is going to benefit greatly by having Jones as his running mate-the first time he has gotten to play with someone who is going to demand off the ball defensive attention.

Nice to see Hunter is working on that right hand...it remains a work in progress-very ugly. But he did look to be much quicker-lighter on his feet.

This team is going to be a defensive juggernaut-especially when Diabate is on the floor. I've been following Michigan basketball for over 50 years...I don't have an apt comparison for this young man.

Play was understandably sloppy at times-so many personnel combinations.

I know it turned into an early route and there was little pressure...but shooters everywhere.

A very high ceiling here.

I think you're really underestimating Mike Smith. He was a great shooter and good scorer, so he also got a lot of defensive attention when he played off the ball and Eli ran point. I can see Eli playing a better offensively if he doesn't have to guard too many people on the ball, since he'll save some energy maybe since Jones is a good on ball defender.

I saw Juwan´s interview last night and he seemed a bit upset by getting out-rebounded by WS, he also said that the errors were fixable but he was not happy with that stat.

I watched the first 5 minutes on regular speed and the rest on 1.5x, and it may have been the highlight format, but Wayne State definitely out hustled Michigan despite being smaller, slower and less athletic.  Despite a 20-1 run and the game never being close, Wayne looked "better" from an effort stand point.  We look like we'll be out-of-this-world, but I can see why Juwan would be upset about the rebounding stat.  You have to practice out-hustling even in a tune-up game.
