"The University of Michigan softball coaching staff has been named the Great Lakes Region Coaching Staff of the Year as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) on Wednesday (June 24)." --quote from MGoBlue website
Alot to be proud of here. Carol Hutchins does an amazing job with her team both on and off the field. Not only are they winners in Softball but the lady Wolverines on her team get in done it the classroom as well.
Congratulations!
even have to vote?
Well duh!
Exactly what I came to say!
Yes. In other news, water is wet and fire is hot.
I thought for sure Jackie Joseph and her staff would win.

Co-Mideast Region -- Western Kentucky
Midwest Region- North Dakota State
Northeast Region- Hofstra

NFCA Division I National Coaching Staff of the Year - Florida
How does UCF win a co-award for the Mideast region?
How does Florida win National but Auburn wins the Southeast region? Doesn't that mean Auburn was better in the same region Florida was in?
I like filling trophy cases. Hopefully football will be winning some awards this season.
They need to coordinate their shorts better! Apparently Nikki didn't get the khaki memo.

No shit.
Apparently Hutch was the 3rd base coach in last night's Congressional Charity Softball Game, which is pretty cool

I would have thought that this staff was merely the assumed favorite in the region, and then of course I suddenly said, "Just in the region? Come now...."
In all seriousness though, it is nice to see yet more honors come in the direction of Carol Hutchins and her staff. I am guessing the plaques and awards may need a separate wing now if they don't already.
And we have the best coaching staff on either side.
Just out of curiousity, who came in second?
