Michigan offers 2020 TE Nick Patterson (Shea Patterson's brother)
As the title says, Michigan offered 2020 TE Nick Patterson who is also Shea's brother. He's a 6'3 215lbs right now but plenty of time to grow. For now he's a middle 3 star, but if he has the athleticism of his brother, I'm sure he'll be a name to watch. Definitely someone to keep an eye on in the next class
Shea has athleticism for a QB no doubt, but it's a different level of athleticism needed to be an elite skill position player, even a TE (especially one who isn't 6'5"+, though he may get there in a few years).
Looking at UM's depth chart, either they are phasing out the TE, or they need to get extremely busy for both 2019 and 2020. I believe there are no sophomore TEs on scholarship and only one freshman. The other seven scholarship TEs are juniors and seniors.
We signed two, maybe three, last class and have one (so far) this class. How many do you need?
Maybe look again. I don't think you got any of it right. https://mgoblog.com/content/michigan-depth-chart-class-0
2019 - All
FR - Muhammad and Schoonmaker
RS SO - McKeon and Eubanks
RS JR - Wheatley and Gentry
SR/5th YR - none
Really phasing it out, huh.
In addition, Jake Moody (Greyshirt) is now on a full scholarship. Jake is a K out of Northville, MI. Moody was Kornblue’s No 1 Kicker last year. Some tranfers had to take place for this to happen. He reports in August.
Hmmm good info!
Looks like a little challenge for Wild Thing to keep that position but in all seriousness it's great to see every position addressed & not ignore the special teams like some teams do
Jake will likely compete for K/O duties and backing up the rest of the punters/kickers.
The most intriguing part of this to me are the transfers. A chain of events needed to take place.
When I was looking at scholarship numbers for Swim Bullets the other day I had Michigan at 84 if rumored RB, WR and OL transfers happened.
Am I wrong on the count?
Under 85 is correct. The OL decided to stay. Things will shake out soon.
Haven't they shaken out with Crawford and Walker departing? Or is the more?
At least one more transfer will be announced.
We are also adding two more PWO's to the kicking game. Ithaca Kicker Adam Culp and George Caratan, kicker/Punter from Oakdale (Conn) St. Thomas.
Is it committable?
Asking for a friend.
Package deal... ;)
This is currency for Shea to stay 2 years for 2019 ... why not attempt to win deuce Heismans?
I'm waiting for bluey to go ka-bluey and scream nepotism, Harbaugh can't recruit, staff sucks, etc.
