META: MGoPoints Leaderboard

Yes, because I'm a competitive prophylactic, I'm curious to know who stands atop the MGoPoints standings.

On a broader note, has there been discussion around tiers of users on the site based on points accrual, something similar to a "verified user" on twitter, a mini-moderator, or something else along those lines? Not sure if that would encourage better or worse discourse, or even provide some support for the mods that spend non-trivial amounts of time managing this here Web Page.

I don't have many mgopoints because I redeemed most of mine buying Cokes to take advantage of the free ticket offer.  At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I’m just here to increase my meager point total. Pistons! Lions! Wings! Tigers! Wolverines! All rebuilding. Lottery winners! Draft room celebrations! Another Swede?! The avila plan to eventually be competitive by 2030! Recruiting wins over everyone for recruits who may or may not have had committable offers! These off-seasons are more fun than the actual seasons. Oh, the Tigers are actually playing?

I had my points blanked out for some reason 2 years. It was 36,000. That happened maybe for a silly bullshit post that mocked someone else's sincere bullshit post during a non-OT period (football season)? I'm good with it though.

It's sad that people need a point system to validate their own opinions and thoughts. It's sadder that people want to make a competition out of it.

My prediction: The minute a leaderboard gets published, this blog becomes unreadable as posters fill the comment sections with "Yup," "I agree," and "That's idiotic."

I see points as a valuable currency that allows me to downvote posters who whine about how every school except Michigan pays recruits
