Mens Hoops vs Nebraska Open Thread
Instead of crying about Harbaugh get in here and cry about Michigan Hoops with me.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:02 PM ^
Wtf are we running on offense ?
February 1st, 2022 at 10:03 PM ^
Scared
February 1st, 2022 at 10:02 PM ^
44 first half points allowed at home vs Nebraska is pathetic
February 1st, 2022 at 10:08 PM ^
The trouble Is - crisler center could be a regional final college hockey venue with how few fans there are. “Home” doesn’t really produce much of an advantage…
February 1st, 2022 at 10:03 PM ^
On the bright side, we're not thinking about Harbaugh bolting to the NFL anymore!
February 1st, 2022 at 10:04 PM ^
Until now. Thanks.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:12 PM ^
No... actually, I think that's precisely what's coloring this whole game.
I know I'm def. feeling it through.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:03 PM ^
Giving up 44 to Nebraska in the first half... no bueno
February 1st, 2022 at 10:12 PM ^
They're averaging almost 73 /game.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:05 PM ^
My dog just said I should put $100 on Michigan winning the NCAA tournament. She's pretty smart. What do you think?
February 1st, 2022 at 10:06 PM ^
She meant the Women's team.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:08 PM ^
Yes. This makes more sense. Thank You.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:19 PM ^
I did this back in May. Whoops.
On the other hand, I also placed a much larger bet on the Rams to win the Super Bowl.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:06 PM ^
Well, just to look at this on the bright side. . . Nebraska has never beaten us in Ann Arbor, so this will be a really nice night for them?
Ugliest basketball I've seen in--what--nine, ten years in Ann Arbor?
February 1st, 2022 at 10:09 PM ^
The only thing more perfect today would be for Minnesota to beat us at home... again.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:06 PM ^
It's looking more and more like Juwan is not the coach we need.
The players might not be great, but they're not playing any better than they did the first game of the year. That's coaching
February 1st, 2022 at 10:10 PM ^
The effort on defense is independent of any issues this team has talent wise. They still have enough talent to not give up 44 in a half to a team like Nebraska if it actually looked like they gave a damn on defense.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:10 PM ^
Will Juwan be here for 7 years??
February 1st, 2022 at 10:16 PM ^
way too early for this
February 1st, 2022 at 10:06 PM ^
Lol Nebraska is one of the worst teams in D1. I’m going to focus all my attention on swimming and gymnastics from now on
February 1st, 2022 at 10:07 PM ^
Most poorly coached team in the country. Zero defensive fundamentals, dumb fouls, dumb turnovers that result from playing too out of control. Juwan has been abysmal this year.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:12 PM ^
I like Juwan. I hope this ends in the best possible way for him.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:17 PM ^
and us.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:25 PM ^
Season started off well before going south.
Maybe he knew Jim was heading out & feels as crappy about it as we do?
February 1st, 2022 at 10:08 PM ^
These aren’t even freshman mistakes. This are mistakes JV league players don’t make.
WTF are they doing at practice? Lol
February 1st, 2022 at 10:13 PM ^
Martelli is having a bad year.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:08 PM ^
Michigan should come back in second half and win this game. That is all I got.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:11 PM ^
Man that shine is just completely off Howard. It’s clear we under estimated the talent that left, but bringing in the #1 recruiting class - and keeping an All American and 5th year PG - you would think the floor would be a bit higher. This is pathetic.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:15 PM ^
Some of it's just effort plain and simple. Still enough talent to not look like this. That has to go on Howard, no question about it along with no real improvement 19 games in. I am not willing to completely write him off but dude is clearly back in prove it as a college coach category moving forward.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:11 PM ^
Old Fashioned.
edit: oops. Thought this was the drinking thread
February 1st, 2022 at 10:26 PM ^
On a Tuesday.
Actually... I think this is the drinking thread, now.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:11 PM ^
We are looking like that doornail mentioned in the preview.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:12 PM ^
I was originally upset that i forgot my iPad and I'm staying in a hotel without BTN but it seems like the universe was looking out for me.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:12 PM ^
Hey hey at least Juwan has totally been a great 2nd Half coach this season.

Does anyone else remember when the football team was coming off the best regular season in the Harbaugh era and we were excited for this year's bball team?
February 1st, 2022 at 10:14 PM ^
2016?
February 1st, 2022 at 10:13 PM ^
Why am I getting a Harvard Business School ad on an MGoBlog basketball game thread?
They accept like 2% of their applicants.
Do they really need an application from some random guy on the internet who says "Hey, Look at that! Harvard has a business school. I was going to apply to University of Phoenix, but I think I'll give those guys a try."
February 1st, 2022 at 10:15 PM ^
Withdrawn, since Dog fixed it my comment looked incorrect.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:17 PM ^
Caught it before you did.
Ha Ha Ha HA Ha.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:13 PM ^
I swear, between Harbaugh pulling the bullshit he's pulling and having to endure this crap ass, undisciplined, haphazard basketball team, it's really fucking depressing me way more than sports should.
But here I am, suffering along my Michigan brethren.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:16 PM ^
Nobody knows your pain like we do.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:44 PM ^
Welcome San Diego Mick.
My name is MGoStretch and I also have a Michigan sports problem.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:15 PM ^
Look up one dimensional in Webster's and you see a picture of Caleb Houston. Is he starter worthy at this point?
February 1st, 2022 at 10:21 PM ^
I mean…what other one or no-dimensional player (Johns) do we replace him with?
February 1st, 2022 at 10:34 PM ^
Terence Williams.
I think he could shine and bring the no D sharpshooter off the bench.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:20 PM ^
Hunter is good when he's not on the bench
February 1st, 2022 at 10:21 PM ^
Transition defense is pathetic
February 1st, 2022 at 10:22 PM ^
Welp so much for UM sports being a positive distraction as I go through a divorce. Divorce seems lovely compared to UM basketball this year, lol.
February 1st, 2022 at 10:26 PM ^
Sorry. It does get better. Michigan sports and all its roller coaster ride has been there for me through divorce, cancer, death, and a host of other things. Hang in there.
