Bleacher report posted an interesting read on Michigan Basketball and the expectations surrounding each individual player. For those you who dont feel like reading heres a summary. They predicted stats for each of our starters and will grade them based on if they meet this expectations.

4. Mark Donnal

Pass/Fail Stats: 7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists

i almost posted the exact same thread. with tigers bowing out early, and the 2014 football being discussed to death before the end of 2013 and *sigh* no reason to begin speculating about this team's future till we know who is getting ousted, the only thing michigan basketball/football/ detroit tiger fans (feel like this is a common subset) have to server as a sports distraction is michigan basketball.

i'll still follow football, but outside of gametime i'd like to think about it as little as possible. and tigers will go dark till the world series is over.

i need an occasional sports distraction throught my day. some arbitrary grading from bleacher report, cbs has caris as a 2nd team all american, the guy down the street wore a michigan jersey. i do not care. the team starts in less than a month, this board needs to do a better job of providing me information that i want to read.

Last year, Walton and Spike played in all 37 games and combined to play the full 40 minutes per game.  They combined for 11.2 points and 4.9 assists.  You're essentially asking them to double that production without playing any additional minutes (unless you envision them playing together more frequently this year).

I'm hoping Walton can beat those numbers. We're going to need him to. Unless Donnal proves to be the real deal down in the paint, we're going to need to win a fair share of games by out scoring the other team.

Luckily, if he takes the typical Beilein jump, I think he has every chance to beat them. Hope he and Irvin can get it done.

This dude will take over this year. He will be our high-scorer, clutch shooter and all-around pimp of the team. I would bet he will make a considerable jump from last year and take over on offense.

Why does everyone seem to feel they have to put the obligatory Football thread snark disclaimer into every basketball post?

The basketball program is good enough that it doesn't need football thread snark for a basketball thread to be "justified."
