Marcus Hall's visit

Submitted by Magnus on
There's an article on Rivals about Marcus Hall's visit to UM. He said Michigan's chances are "big" right now and that he's going to compare the rest of his visits to OSU and UM. It sounds like he liked it. Unfortunately, though, William Campbell (who Hall became friends with at the AAA Bowl) wasn't in town due to the weather. Also, nobody committed, but apparently some of Rivals' sources think we'll get "a few" commitments out of the guys who were there. Interesting...

... per his FB statuses, went home for the weekend, totally not weather-related. Hall was at the SQ/WQ snowball fight and looked cold, but seemed to be having a good time. Chances are alright.

Here's what I found most interesting from that article. Hall asked Patrick Omameh, "how did he deal with the pressure around him to go to Ohio State." If you look at the little things that these guys say, you can get a lot out of it. The usual statements about academics, tradition, blah blah blah. That stuff is fluff that they say to everyone. What he said there is that he's feeling pressured to pick Ohio State because he's from there, and from what I take is that maybe he isn't 100% on that. I've never spoken with him, but that statement says a lot to me.

I got the same vibe from him during his interview at the Army AA game. The first thing he mentioned when asked about playing for OSU was their flaws, particularly with the depth chart stacked at his position. This guy wants a crack at early playing time. I'd say our chances are decent.
