Man Cave Opinion
I am finally getting to the point where I can start painting the man cave. I have done a few shitty photoshops, but cannot decide what I want. I need all MGOpeeps input. These are 18ft ceilings so a lot of room to work with. Do you like the half-Block M or half winged helmet? Also taking other ideas. I have a huge old air tank pictured that I will also paint. TV and Bar will go on the wall where I paint the logos.

Would love to see the final, Michigan-inspired product.
However, given the massive space, have you considered bats, a dark muscle car or motorcycle, perhaps a cowl and the unseen-but-rewarding life of a vigilante?
In addition to painting you may want to consider printing. I did something similar but on a smaller scale for a garage and used a photograph. Big output printing is much cheaper than it used to be. For sources you may want to ask at local trade show booth builders in addition to traditional print shops. With an image you can do anything.
what a great picture of harmon, a great action shot. would love to know the team they're playing and other deets. note the defender on the ground has a face mask - way ahead of his time.
also, RRPR's idea about some industrial printing seems like a very good thing to explore.
No design skills here, but I'd go with the M. I like the helmet, but at these dimensions, I wouldn't have known what it was unless you told me.
Plus, the M that's too large for the wall, that looms over the entire room, is symbolic. It represents how large your UM fandom is in your life. (Or something like that.)
But as long as you've got the 3 B's (bar, big-screen, bathroom), you're all set.
I'd simplify and go with the thinner block M (my preference) and fit the whole thing in.
Heck get some field turf for the floor.

Man, now that's a man-cave! 18 foot ceiling is a real luxury. I definitely like XM's basketball hoop idea. Gotta have that. Agree with IndyPete too on making the logo or helmet smaller so you can see the whole thing. Definitely you'll want to paint the floor too with some cool pattern. Where's the giant TV going to go?

I vote strongly for the oversized Block M - looks cool being extra big, rather than "fitting" on the wall. Makes Michigan seem larger than life.. the helmet, to me, doesn't really look much like the helmet. its confusing, and though it doesnt really matter, not everyone is gonna get it.
I think you might like to list all the Michigan wins over ohio on that wall too with the scores? I know we love 42-27, but there was a time when we won a few times a decade... I would list out those with some print letters and do it along the inside of the vertical M lines leaving PLENTY of room for future Ws!
Lastly - get a ping pong table! that's just me though, since i loved playing when i had access to one.

Love all the ideas and input so far. I would like to hang all the National Championship banners from the ceiling as well. I like the idea of all the Ohio State scores and wins on the wall somewhere. Keep em coming!

Either of these are awesome, and since whomever is visiting will know you're obsessed with Michigan I'm sure they'll get it right away. Personally, I like the helmet more than the M - would you consider a "front view" of the helmet, rather than a side view? But either way, this is awesome and please post pics of the finished project

If money's not a concern, I like the idea of a Crisler replica hoop and perhaps even a hardwood court. A zipline from the upstairs to your man cave couch or bar would be an exciting addition. Maybe some inflatables of the most hated Buckeye faces to punch on your way down and then the banner at the end. With all that room you could even install a glass enclosure for a pet Wolverine. I say go big!
