LTT's letter burning

Submitted by Sione's Flow on

Saw this linked over at 11W, seems that LTT was burning that letter from tsiO for more than loyalty to UM.  According to the article tsiO fans pulled some shenanigans while he was in Columbus for the NFTC.  Stories been covered already, but this gives a little more insight.

you'd expect most fans to be appalled by this.  But over on bucknuts they're just touting it like "he shouldn't have done that, his name will be on the board along with Kalis, he'll get his, etc"

Every time I try to rationalize that the stereotypical Buckeye is not the stereotypical Buckeye, they do things like this.  After the nth time of trying to debunk the theory, I think I'll just give up and accept the stereotype as fact.  As I'm still waiting to meet someone that proves the contrary.

Bucknuts is where most of the crazies hang out to begin with.  This is the same site where they believed TP and the tat five were working with authorities to crack a drug smuggling ring.  They are the blindest of the blind faithful.

I know of one rational Buckeye fan and he posts on this board from time to time.  Other than that one example, I haven't  seen much to dissuade from the belief that most fans of tsiO are irrational and detached from logic and reason.

There are a large majority of people who hold OSU to the standard of a religion. What Tully did amounted to walking into a public religious building and taking a dump on the floor while wiping his rear end on the carpet. Naturally people who are emotionally invested into the program are going to get angry when you disrespect their "diety". Tully is a moron. I'm glad he hates Ohio. I am from Ohio and I am ashamed to be any way related with someone who is stupid enough to pull off that stunt and then even more retarded when he acts all suprised and butt hurt when he gets back flak. Lets take the Tully family photo and put a youtube video of a bunch of people taking a piss on it to see how he feels about it. You don't want to go to OSU then fine. Don't go. Have a nice day but don't go insulting people needlessly. You aren't bullet proof and a taser with some steel toed boots will take you down and curb stomp you into a permanent nursing home. There are crazy people out there. Best to not mess with them.

I love what LTT did. The only good thing in that state is Cedar Point...and even when I go there, I ALWAYS wear a UM shirt.

[ED:BISB - Unlike certain fanbases I could name (Ohio. It's Ohio), we do not use stupid plays on other schools names, as O$U, F*ckeyes, Spartina (that one'll get you banhammered), etc.]

Bucknuts never ceases to amaze me...

#1  Did he really just compare Ohio State to a religion...?

#2  "I am ashamed to be any way related with someone who is stupid enough to pull off that stunt."  Oh, so you're related to Logan?  Cool?

#3  Eh...  I don't believe he got butt hurt at all.  He said that he had stuff thrown at him BEFORE he was committed to Ohio.  AFTER he burned the letter he got death threats and they sent his mom some nasty letters.  He told his mom to ignore them because it was part of the rivarly.  Butt hurt?  Really?

#4  Please tell me how burning a meaningless letter is the same as taking someones family photo and taking a piss on it.

#5  Talking about tazing and curb stomping a 16 year old.  Wow.  Just wow.

#6  Last but not least: "There are crazy people out there."  I really hope he was self referencing himself there.

The kid burned a letter.  A letter.  Let me say that one more time, A LETTER.  For burning a letter, a 16 year old kid is now getting death threats.  Ohio fans should take a good long hard look in the mirror before they start pointing fingers.

People are just sick. Who the hell cares? He burned a letter, bfd....let's all send death threats. Personally if some TSIO recruit burned his letter from UM I wouldn't even make a fuss about it. Good for you, you won't be coming to the school I root for. He didn't stomp on some countries flag or something. Get real Ohio fans, you're pathetic.

and maybe the author embellished, but this part

"However, Tuley-Tillman was open to other schools -- including Ohio State -- after his Michigan commitment and even participated in a Nike camp in Columbus, Ohio. However, he said his experience with Ohio State fans while in Columbus soured him on the school and the city."

makes it sound like he's not 100%...I think he is 100% and the writer made an "ass"umption.

the "even participated in a Nike camp in columbus" part is annoying.  First, the camp had no connection to OSU other than being in the same city... it was the only NFTC in the midwest, and just happened to be in Columbus, so if he's implying that participating in that camp is being "open to other schools" then that would apply to every commited player at the camp.  If he is just generally implying that participating in camp means that your recruitment is still open, then it applies to all commited recruits at all camps across the country, and that's just stupid.

Speaking of LTT and Kalis, knowing how important "the Game" is to Coach Hoke.  These two are going to go into those games already pumped up by the staff. Do buckeye fans think it's a good idea to make this game personal to these two.  Personally I wouldn't want two 20 something 300lb O-linemen coming into a game looking to make an example out of me.

This makes LTT the 3000th person to receive death threats from those morons in ohio, this is tired news.  LTT will pay them back many times over for the next 4-5 years.

Burning a letter is no different than shredding it, ripping it up, ect. Plus, wasnt it Saban who sent that one recruit 18 letters a day? Something tells me those letters are not all that personalized. People look for anything to overreact to nowadays. ...on Monday the Orbitz facebook page put up a happy memorial day picture of a nice looking beach and a bunch of people acted as if Orbitz had taken bath salts and ate their faces off, how dare anyone not spend their entire day wrapped in American flags and sulking over those who have died, just like those soldiers would have wanted. Get a grip, its just a burnt letter by a teenager commited to Michigan and its just a picture of a beach.
