So Iowa took our backup QB and TE, so we took Indiana's backup QB and TE. Nice.

The camaraderie in the conference is amazing. Everyone is helping everyone else out - just another deeper aspect of revenue sharing. It might be why UCLA and USC are joining the B1G.

And a better locker room because of it.

Does anyone know anything about this TE ?
December 20th, 2022 at 4:25 PM ^
Nice TE add (once he commits) and Tuttle isn’t bad considering.
December 20th, 2022 at 4:26 PM ^
He seems like their starting TE, right? Had some nice TDs against OSU and Idaho this year.
December 20th, 2022 at 6:40 PM ^
IDK about that one. I'd rather keep my old back-up QB and keep my starting but injured TE over 90% of the guys out there. No shade on the new guys but so much has gone into Mc and All to get them ready to perform at this level.

Given the bridge burning that transpired there was no keeping to be had here. From what we know, this will be a decent roster fit.

Would definitely be a good pick up. Experience, size, leadership 👍.

How many players are allowed on a roster? This seems crazy at this point unless we aren’t signing anyone tomorrow.
December 20th, 2022 at 4:25 PM ^
I suspect that with NIL, not all of these guys are getting scholarships. Nor do they need them.
December 20th, 2022 at 4:32 PM ^
Yep. NIL basically killed the “scholarship limit”. Don’t have one just dip in the NIL fund and pay for it that way.
December 20th, 2022 at 4:52 PM ^
Interesting - so to keep your scholarship and stay in good standing, don't you have a minimum GPA requirement. So if you punt on the scholarship, can you just scrape by with anything above failing?
December 20th, 2022 at 4:30 PM ^
I suspect we will lose as many guys as we gained to both the Portal and the NFL.
December 20th, 2022 at 4:45 PM ^
Yeah, though as noted on this site there are guys who have effectively been on NIL "scholarship" to get over the cap. Also, I assume there are guys who have told the coaches they're leaving after the bowl game(s) and so coaches are responding accordingly. McNamara and All were both injured and so them leaving wasn't as big of a surprise/disruption than active rostered players saying "yeah, I'm out and going to X in January".

Looks like he just committed per his Instagram.

It’s on the Twitters too.

And now it’s official!

NCAA: "How many top transfer portal players do you want?"
Michigan: "Yes."
December 20th, 2022 at 5:32 PM ^
Also just crystal balled CB J Hill to Michigan!!
December 20th, 2022 at 6:30 PM ^
Wiltfong just balled 4* WR Karmello English to Michigan.

So apparently the 2015 player-to-be-named-later trade involving Ruddock with All and McNamara as later consideration must have involved Indiana as some kind of silent 3rd party, having done a complicated multi-year triangle trade side deal with either us or Iowa because we have now just grabbed the Hoosiers‘ QB/TE tandem as a package deal to offset our free agent loss of said former Michigan QB/TE duo. This is front office frippery at its finest. /s

My blood runs cold after looking this kid up. I KNOW he can contribute. Played Middle LB in high school. Big and strong. Aggressive in fording traffic in the trenches. Has above average balance. Aggressive for contact. Has pancake blocks in his resume. Long and athletic.
Had big plays against the biggest competition.
