Least talked about recruit?
I'm sick of all the hand wringing and I've fought against depth charts and win predictions so I had something pop in my head. What RR recruit is the least talked about on the boards here??
My vote is Thomas Gordon. He's a local guy and plays a position in dire need of improved play, but I can't recall anybody mentioning them in their depth charts for this year, his progress last year, any weight room stories, no buzz from 7 on 7's, nothing bad, not a peep.

You don't here his name brought up a whole lot. And he could be a very good running back, although I say that about every running back who has laced up his cleats for U of M.

this from the guy whose avatar says "cocksucker"

Way to be a productive member of this board.

Maybe I'm way off here, but I don't think this was supposed to be a jerk-type comment. When I read it, I thought he was poking fun at the fact that the guy whose avatar says "cocksucker" made a post entitled "Mike Cox."
"And he could be a very good running back, although I say that about every running back who has laced up his cleats for U of M."
You and Fred Jackson.

Thomas Gordon, without a doubt. There are more words typed about Mike Cox's unfortunate name than there are typed about Thomas Gordon's entire existence.

Actually got me to laugh out loud on that one.
Have you heard anything?? The hype was that he was pretty smooth natural type athlete, I'm guessing lack of elite speed due to his ratings. I would guess he'll see a lot of action in the spring, just because of the numbers.

I have heard virtually nil. He only converted to defense late in his high school career, and he's not really a freak athlete, so I think he'll be a late bloomer, if anything. He's supposedly going to play spur this spring, so we'll see how that goes. I have a feeling he'll get lost in the shuffle at defensive back, but hopefully he provides some good competition.

Cox has an unfortunate name? At least he wont be getting a big head about it.
I hope he doesn't read this board. I wouldn't want him to feel like he is getting the shaft.
Thomas Gordon's existence cures cancer.
Too bad Thomas Gordon doesn't exist.

Zero threads. Certain starter. Hagerup for Heisman?

Mike Shaw; most folks have dismissed him as a contributor in favor of one of the new kids in town, but I'm with the 'not so fast, my friend' camp, I think we haven't seen the last of him.

If he can learn to stay up on his own two feet and stop tripping over himself, I agree. He could be an exciting back to watch. He seems to have good moves and pretty good speed. He'll definitely get a chance this year to prove himself.

The comment about his avatar wasn't very productive. I guess, when you get right down to it, it looked more like something a Sparty fan would post.
For the record, I love the avatar, and any pun on the names or letters of MSU or OSU adds significantly to my entertainment ratio.

there's been talking about recruits?

Everything I've heard (which is little) is good. Gordon made great strides in the weight room, and was solid at times on scout team. He didn't make the switch to defense until last season, so it'll take time. I hope he can contribute sometime down the road, kids a decent athlete and a hard worker.

He played defense as a senior in high school.
Sorry, should have said full-time. He was Cass Tech's starting QB as well, more importantly.

Demar Dorsey. Nobody's really said anything about him, but I think he's really good, right?
And Devin Gardner. He's kind of flying under the radar. Do you guys think he'll redshirt??!1

Antonio Kinard
I have not heard much about LaLota either fwiw
Isaiah Bell hasnt been mentioned much
He'll definitely redshirt, but no one is really talking about string bean
Davion Rogers. On a good day, the next Carl Banks. On a bad day some guy who transfers to Akron.
Nick Koenigsknecht? (And you have to pronounce his last name correctly.)
Last class? Paskorz comes to mind.

With any luck, this guy could become a Tim Dwight or Wes Welker type player for us.

I hadn't heard such comparisons before.
Brilliant!

I was hoping Drew would be a Randy Moss type player for us.
