Kemp D MVP for Team 'Aina in Hula Bowl

Carlo Kemp was named defensive MVP for Team 'Aina in the final game ever to be played at Aloha Stadium (as it's being condemned and a new stadium is planned to be built by the start of the 2023 season -- unclear where UH will be playing in 2021 and 2022). Kemp had 4 tackles (with 1 TFL) and a huge pick 6 that could have tied the game if his team had made the 2-point conversion. Congrats to Carlo on a great game! Go Blue!

OT, but UH to play in tiny on-campus stadium (at the bottom of the article -- missed that update when I read it the first time) while the new stadium is built.

We're going to miss him

Was Kemp playing as a DT or a DE? It seemed like he did a decent job of providing pressure from the DE spot when Paye was out and playing DE may be a more natural fit for his frame.

Found a video of him having a pick 6. Seems like he’s lined up at DE on this play.

I'm not sure, but your comment made me realize how perfect he would have been as the jumbo DE/DT in our new 3-4 scheme. Bummer he didn't stick around for one more year.

He'd have been a heck of a LB.
