Like it or not, he threw out a hook, and Jourdan bit it. Was hoping nobody would respond to that tweet, but looks like the OSU coach won by Jourdan responding to it. He is in someones head now.

Whatever.

Steroid head David Boston ran his mouth and guaranteed a win and Braylon jawed right back at him.  Given the current way in which refs insert themselves into games, both would have been tossed in the 1st quarter.

None of this crap matters, just what happens on the field.

Find ONE time I've ever used "Suckeyes" or "Fuckeyes" or anything of the sort (other than calling someone out as I just did).

Just one time.

You completely made that up. I don't use the school down south or anything of the sort. Generally speaking, I use OSU/MSU/State and Buckeyes/Spartans/Sparty.

...but go ahead...find one time of ALL of my posts on MGoBlog. You find one instance and I'll stop posting on this site forever and e-mail Brian to give you all of my MGoPoints (like they actually mean something). ...Don't worry, I'll wait.

I have a friend (maybe more of an acquaintance... ) who is a big OSU fan and have seem him tweet similar things the past few weeks about number of interceptions, touchdowns, etc. This seems to actually be a common belief from some OSU people regarding Jabrill, and that he's nothing more than a good athlete.

I think they are in for a rude awakening Saturday.

Easy solution to this:

we put Peppers in man coverage on Samuel all game. They have to put Samual in man coverage on Peppers all game. See who wins.

Yes.

Peppers is just not great in coverage, and Samuels is probably the best receiver in the B1G.

Peppers would be a good receiver, but I think Samuels would be reasonably functional as a DB.

If we make it Samuels/Peppers as RB/LB - then I think Peppers wins easily.

Peppers isn't great in coverage. But Samuels is?

No.

Samuels as a receiver >>> Peppers as a receiver

Peppers as a coverage guy >> Samuels as a coverage guy

...and note - we are ONLY talking coverage. Not tackling. Not running with the ball after the catch. Just pure coverage and receiver play.

On the flip side we've seen with both can do with the ball in their hands.

Doesn't matter. We're talking coverage, not tackling once the ball is caught.

If we're allowing the player to run the ball out of the backfield as a running back, and expecting them to play linebacker - Peppers wins.

If we're talking pure coverage, 7-on-7 drill type stuff - I'll go with Samuel.

I don't think you understand what coverage entails.

If you want to play it your way...you've got Samuel getting off the line against an actual DB, and Peppers, one of the 2-3 most explosive players in the country getting off the line against a RB.

Honest question, have you ever played football...and did you play a skill position.

I don't think you understand how hard it is to play DB. In fact, I know you don't.

Meanwhile on offense, you always have the advantage because you know where you're going.

Jourdan Lewis would be the option over Samuel (and Peppers to be honest) as well.

DB is a kajillion times harder to play than WR.

Samuel is a WR, not a RB - and he's the best in the B1G. Peppers isn't a top 10 cover guy in the B1G. Striking and Lewis are MUCH better cover guys on his own team. "Honest question, have you ever played football...and did you play a skill position." I played all through HS. I played RB, WR, and CB. Nice try though. "Jourdan Lewis would be the option over Samuel (and Peppers to be honest) as well." I agree. Lewis is an order of magnitude better cover guy than Peppers, and just as good a receiver. He would be much better in that scenario than Peppers.

Samuel is an H. I know what position he plays.

And if you played in HS then you know it's MUCH harder to play DB than it is to play WR.

That's my point.

Who gives a shit if Peppers isn't a top 10 cover guy? It's easier to play WR and get open than to cover a WR.

THAT is my point. You have to have technique and know how to cover someone...if you play WR you know where you're going and if you have the athletic ability, it's far easier to get open. Peppers has that athletic ability.

You completely missed the point because you got offended about your HS football experience.

We're so much better than them because other fanbases use everything under the sun to describe us so you can think and yell, Uckeyes(S)! But it's a sin here because we're morally better than other fanbases by saying, thinking, and expressing it. Just don't you type it! You'll go to hades!!!

Cincy I understand I'm in Ohio also and it really,"sucks when you hear them unduly use words that are not in the dictionary towards our team-coach!" Just take the high road! You're better than they are!

"Let him have his fun," Lewis said. "Jabrill's a linebacker. I don't know why he's even comparing the two because it's not even comparable. I don't know why he's focused on that. He has a whole secondary to focus on. We're definitely going to go out there and prepare our hardest, and not worry about the rhetoric."

Yeah, it was a weird comparison for Zach Sxith to make in the first place. Actually, I am curious as to how Sxith pronounces his last name now. Maybe it once had four "M"s and a silent "Q" and that somehow was shortened to "X" when his family came to the United States.

Jourdan is such a class act for sure. Great player as well but he better get off twitter and be borrowing the recordings of the games from the coaches and watching formations. I used to take game tapes home myself and watch them all week long, then I got a girlfriend and that kind of took a hit. Whatever, they are going to get tested deep right away and all day and that secondary needs to be firing on all cylinders.

Zach is thinking with his micro penis instead of his brain sending out stupid tweets like this.  The guy has an amazing inferiority complex...can't believe Meyer doesn't take his xbox away from him and stop these dumb tweets

Sounds like the writer is trying to stretch those comments into domething they are not.social media can be a tricky thing context. He's merely saying peppers statistics are not the gaudy numbers a defender would need to win a heisman. You guys may want to go back and read what the faithful were saying after the iowa game about peppers and his heisman hype. 100 times worse then what was said in the tweet. Honestly I think individually speaking peppers is doing what is best for his team not his statistics. Peppers is a great player and will make a lot of money on sundays. Sounds like smiths tweet was more about the lack of respect samuel is getting for some pretty good numbers receiving and rushing then putting down peppers.I've heard nothing but respect coming from OSU concerning peppers. Having said that smith's tweets do not go over, well with most buckeye fans.btw michael thomas, jalin marshal and corey smith are all making nfl checks on sunday, and were coached by smith.
