No Klay Thompson and they lost to the Lakers, Lebron and AD 123-101.

I should probably step up and say the same. To be fair, he had a pretty underwhelming season leading up to the draft. But I definitely thought he needed one more year and he could have been a first rounder. That said, my thoughts were to have that one year be under JB and Yak and he would have another year to improve defense and decision making blah blah blah.

it was never a question to me whether the kid had the talent tho.

Yeah, I think it definitely all depended on what team he ended up with on draft night.

On a different team, it's very possible he would have been asked to do too much/many things that his skillset might not necessarily be up to par with just yet.

But on the Warriors, I think he'll fit in quite nicely.

He obviously got some assurances that he would go in the first round.

For ANYONE going in the first round, it is almost always a good decision.  Only caveot is guys who might be talented enough to move from bottom of 1st round to top of first round with a monster season, but that is somewhat rare.

Would love to see him light up the NBA obviously, although I'm not sure he has the discipline, focus, and create-your-own-shot skills to push through the streaks when he goes ice cold from 3. I'm also not sure he would have gotten any of those things from staying though.

It's a good showing, and I'm happy for him.  There will be minutes for him on that team if he can hang onto them.  What will define his season is his defense; if we can even be passable on that front he'll likely get enough minutes to stay in rhythm with his shooting.

It is a gorgeous Fall day out here in South Central Kansas...about 70 degrees with a light Kansas breeze-that means it's less that 30 mph. Tuesdays are "our" days-I'm retired and it's my wife's day off. We are making tomato juice and spaghetti sauce from the 3 bushels of tomatoes we have stored up from our garden. I started boiling them down at around six. Here at 1205 the 14 quarts of juice have long been processed-the spaghetti sauce is about an hour away from the canner...likely another 2 canners/14 quarts. It's great stuff.

Otherwise, this next paragraph is against my better judgement-so it's on me. I do my best not to comment on Michigan basketball matters because, quite frankly, the profound ignorance regarding basketball on this board, in general, is too staggering for me to comprehend and no effort should be wasted upon attempting to change this. I will attempt to keep this short and too the point: Jordan Poole is an outstanding basketball player...and that the GSW drafted him with their first pick obliterates any of  you naysayers who claim otherwise to hell in this regard. For you haters-and that is what you are to continue to piss on this kid for his decision to leave is despicable. And to add insult to injury you give a 66 year old multi-millionaire a free pass for leaving. Jordan is 20 years old. Good grief, what the hell is the matter with you guys!!!!!
