Name everything to maize, blue, Michigan, or something generic and call it good. At some point it will change anyway.
With how testy everything is in our society today, taking 100 or 50 year old positions and applying it to today's standards accomplishes nothing. If the goal is to make a mountain out of a molehill, go for it.
I would guess close to half of the people hate Dave Brandon because he is a Republican and not because of his positions / actions. If Michigan goes after the Schembechler issue the same way as Yost, the divide will be much greater than the Rich Rodriguez era and probably cost the University $1B+.
You can acknowledge someone's faults but not try to erase history, unless the goal is chaos.
