This is probably not the start you would prefer on MGoBlog, so you might want to stop defending or, more to the point, being defensive about a joke that others did not find funny. Lines fall flat all the time around here and usually nothing comes of it, so you might want to quit while you're behind on this occasion.

If you are interested, the interview for newbies roughly goes like this:

RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION!!!!

(p.s.  Dear Sparty:  The reason you don't get respect and you're forever little brother is this type of bullshit.  Grow the fuck up, spot complaining about everything and play the damn game.)

"The reason you don't get respect and you're forever little brother is this type of bullshit.  Grow the fuck up"

You could say this exact thing if they were the ones doing the vandalizing. I think whoever from UM did this needs to "grow the fuck up."

Oh please.  Yeah, the back and forth vandalism is dumb, but it's been part of the rivalry (and most) for years.  One school paints the rock, the M, a statue, etc.  Back in the day at fictional schools, one school would steal the other's goat mascot.  That's just how this pranking goes.

The hand-wringing from Michigan fans is just as soft as Hoke's apology for the spike in the field.  I feel bad for the guy who has to clean the mess, but that's about it.  Pranks happen.  Being upset about it is silly.

He said defacing the two iconic landmarks that represent the entire institution (UM's Block M and the Sparty statue) is "bad"... but Magic's statue... thats the WORST..   So in essence he put one persons statue above the things that represent the entire universities.  Absurd.

I can confirm the statue is modeled after an actual person.

Whether or not that statue even remotely resembles Magic, though, is up for debate.

I suspect the statue was modeled (as a composite) after several African-American gentlemen living on the MSU campus sometime in the late 70s.

Things were different back then.

to each person, goes their own opinion.  I for one am about the collective whole, The TEAM, The TEAM, The TEAM... no one person is better than the rest...  You deface the Block M, you are defacing every alum, important or not.. From Desmond and Woodson to the newest freshman enrolee.... You deface Sparty, it includes Magic, just as much as the random statue that resembles but is not fully designated...  But like I said, to each their own.. Thats why its a message board.
