The second running into the kicker seemed a questionable call to me. I felt like the punter took an extra stride or two that made me think it might be a fake and the contact was unavoidable. Afterward we dropped a lot of intensity on the kicks which I think was a mistake.

Why we go so hard after punts I'll never know but it killed us against OSU last year and it got us again.  The fumble was just icing on the cake.  It made no goddamn sense as Hill is actually somebody who handles the ball often.

This turned into a game of field position.  Their good punts insiide the 10, our fumble, and the last punt return were the difference.

 

Iowa's longest drives were 52, 47, and 36 yards.  If you won the field position game, that could have been a shutout.

The ST never made a positive difference and actually hurt UM considerably. Too bad they chose to make those mistakes in a game with horrible oapffensive rode toon because the mistakes were costly. Hats off to Iowa for their ST execution and ability to get timely crap calls from O'Neill. UM just didn't perform on ST and it contributed significantly to the L.

He cost us the game with his horrible punting all night long, especially on his last one. Michigan had the win within our grasps and voluntarily threw it away. Did everything they had to do to lose. What a fucking joke. What a fucking waste of the year.

First off, football, is a team sport and it's one of the best examples of a team sport in all of sports. No one man can lose a team sport especially football no matter how poorly he may have played. Secondly The whole year is not over, Michigan has had such a good start that if Iowa doesn't beat us twice we can still have a very special season. We must beat OSU and Indiana and whoever is in the B1G Championship Game just like we had to before. Nothing has changed the same goals are still there for the taking. win out and win the National Championship. We will have a 12-1 record and beat OSU Wisconsin, PSU, Colorado, B1G West Champion.
