How do Coaches in the press box get to the locker room at halftime in Michigan Stadium?

This is something my lady friends expected me to know yesterday and I honestly had no idea. Tunnel under field, protected golf cart after short elevator ride or is there a corridor they walk through? Sorry if this is dumb and I should know.

I actually really know this one.  There are two separate minivan convoys that drive around with police escort right as the half ends. One with our coaches.  The other with the opposing team’s.  Same thing coming back at start of second half.

i know this because my seats are last row in the south end zone.

Can’t say for certain about main coaches and coordinators. But I did once see analysts speeding on a golf cart outside the stadium in the street around to enter the stadium from the other side.

Going by what I have seen this season, I believe they don’t.  They just hit the vending machine for some chips & a soda, then wait around because there’s nothing better to do.

If they are in golf carts, are the drivers required to stop to help opposing coaches ridicule crying wives?

As a student 95-99, I worked security at the stadium. I’m pretty sure they came screeching down the stairs as the clock struck zero and went across the field with the teams.  I was always amazed that there wasn’t a better way.

Maybe there were others that rode around in a van. I am not as familiar with that process.

Since I’m typing I might as well admit I kicked Eric Lindros and Steve Yzerman out of the press box for not having the proper credentials   I didn’t know who they were because I suck at recognizing celebrities in real life
