Hockey Vs. Ferris 1/22

Submitted by pz on
Just thought it could be fun to get a little thread started with regard to tonight's game. 0-0 headed into the second period. Michgan dominated the first period, nearly doubling up on shots (well, as usual this season), and killed a 5-on-3 for a full 2 minutes. Also, some commentary on the ads that are airing (CBS College FYI): 1) Perfect Fit Button - seriously?!? If you get too fat for your pants, you add a 2nd button on the spot next to your regular button? Out of control, just ridiculous. 2) Making Money Company (or something like that?) - looks like a TV ad for a ponzi scheme 3) Credit where credit is due - I thought the Ferris State ad was really nice. Good approach to the state of Michigan, upbeat message. Overall, excellent work for a smaller school.

Seems like the whole thing was designed to jab at Lombardi. Bravo, though I would have liked to hear a little more from Jack...

I was watching a movie and had no idea the game actually on tv down here (ga). This is the first game I've been able to watch a game In a long time and I gotta say the wooing noise when were on the penalty kill is absolutely hilarious. That as well as fluzaphone things.

Agree I would have liked to see Glendening pick up the hat trick, but more important will be coming out and playing big tomorrow night!

Good team defense and Hogan was solid in net. Offense had few chances; credit Ferris for their D as well. Rust was great on the PK today especially that 5 on 3 in the 1st. With the exception of the 5/3, (that energized the crowd), they really played error free hockey. Tough game tomorrow in Big Rapids. BTW, kudos to FSU for ditching the cartoon bulldog jerseys and going to a more classic look similar to our home whites minus the front number. I felt like I was watching Iowa State or USC if they had a team.

Great to see Jack and his Dad there. He had his Michigan varsity jacket on. I think this was the most complete game, defensively, we've played all year. Blocking shots, sticks in passing lanes, etc. Just a solid game; let's get the sweep tomorrow.
