Hello: PWO Daniel Jokisch (son of Dan, nephew of Paul)
The D Zone reports that Daniel Jokisch, 6-6, 235-lb. TE/DE from Orchard Lake St. Mary's, has accepted a preferred walk-on offer from Michigan. He's the son of former Michigan football player Dan Jokisch and the nephew of former Michigan football and basketball player Paul Jokisch. and basketball player Paul Jokisch.
EDIT: I was able to confirm via Twitter that Daniel's father is Dan, not Paul. Sorry about the confusion. Dan was on the football team from 1987 to 1990. Paul was on the basketball team during the 1982-83 and 1983-84 seasons and played football from 1984 to 1986.

Maybe everyone should just be a PWO, then we'd have no scholarship offers to pull

I have a question to anybody who knows. Over at MGoFish, they list a DL Cade Myers as one of our PWO for this class. However, I couldn't find any news on him at all. Does anyone know anything about this kid?

Dust off that #84 jersey.
Didn't his uncle play for Michigan, too?
January 27th, 2016 at 8:43 PM ^
I hope I don't have his father wrong. EDIT: Yes, I did.

I used to work for him years ago... that's about the nicest thing I can say about his uncle.

Can we get him to play Football and Basketball, just like the old man?

Hooray for Michigan Football legacies and welcome to Daniel!

You are a baseball guy, maybe you know. Are they related to the Jokisch who pitched for Northwestern a few years ago?

from Wolverine Historian has Jokisch all over it. If you're not old enough to remember ol' no. 84, here's a primer. I especially recommend the South Carolina game ('85) because it's called by Keith Jackson and Jokisch has a big day (see Pt II starting at 2:30).
Tribute Part I
3:08 , 4:02, 8:13 , 8:24 (TD), 9:02 (great yakety sax by JH!), 9:19, 10:34, 13:52
Tribute Part II
1:56 (TD), 2:30 (Keith Jackson!), 3:00 (KJ), 3:12 (KJ), 5:18, 7:39
The other thing I learned by re-watching these vids is what a total badass TE Eric Kattus was. He's scoring TDs left and right in these videos.

Does Eric Kattus have a kid? We should get him.

possessing measurments very much in line with those being offered based on a general consensus of being among the best. Stands to reason, given the lack of a proven barometer for correctly predicting height, weight and speed by natural progression, more than a few of these will prove to be close to the caliber of those targeted since their sophomore years in high school. Show me one person that correctly predicted what J.J. would possess as a finished product, compared to what he possessed when he entered college and I will show you a photo of an unequivocal liar of the highest magnitude.
Announcements such as these bring excitement.
