If this is the kind of talk we’re hearing from recruits that aren’t even on campus yet then Michigan will control this rivalry for YEARS to come.
When Ohio was on their ridiculous 15/16 run they not only had the better team physically, they KNEW they would win mentally. Most years, Michigan lost The Game before they even took the field. It was despicable.
Now that that mental edge is gone and the physical gap is closing, Ohio is searching for anything they can to get the “edge” back.
Michigan, to Harbaughs credit, has been built on a very blue collar, we are gonna outwork you, mentality. It works for them.
Ohio are diluting themselves into thinking offers/stars can win them this rivalry again when it won’t. These guys are more worried about where they rank on a stupid list vs how they should improve themselves or their future team.
I think CJ Stroud acquitted himself very well in the CFP game against Georgia. The one knock on him all along has been his mobility, particularly in the pocket and avoiding the rush. He demonstrated he can handle that pressure from an NFL sized defense. I question his leadership though.
Bryce Young is a very good, but very undersized QB. You saw this year with Tua what happens when these guys take the hits from an NFL schedule. He's one hit away from the IR.
FWIW, Corum's friend posted a short video of him earlier on her IG story. He was still in walking boot limping. That paired with all the classic and cryptic "God has a plan" pictures, I don't think he plays this week. No idea on Edwards.
Typically the type of injury she would need to pursue a case would be a fracture or permanent nerve damage. Without either of those no attorney will take the case.
Hate to pile on this mess of a day but I’ll share some thoughts. I’m a M alum but an Atlanta resident of 10 years now. We sat in section 108, 20yd line.
Florida was hyped during warmups. You could sense they wanted it more. Even my MGoWife made a comment Michigan looked flat.
Florida fans stood and cheered during every 3rd down like it meant something. Michigan fans were dead anytime Florida had a meaningful play. It wasn’t due to a fan split, it’s because SEC fans cheer their assess off. Michigan fans, sorry to say, don’t have the same mentality. Those of you who’ve been told “down in front” at the big house know what I mean.
The stadium, attendants, food, and volunteers were amazing as one would expect. I hope a better, more prepared team, gets to travel to ATL again one day.
Hate to say it because I’ve been on the Harbaugh bandwagon since day -100 but HE is the reason we are who we are. His team, his coaches, his philosophy and we are DONE. Welcome to 9-4 and 10-3 for the rest of your lives. We are nowhere close to what he had at Stanford and he has no clue how to get us there. Prove me wrong.
Local Atlanta alumni here. There is NO buzz for this game whatsoever in Atlanta. I will echo what others have said and suggest the wait and see approach. Use the secondary markets or get them on the street before the game. It's deceiving though because there are a lot of tickets already sold (allotted) due to this CFP bonus next year. Unsurprisingly, the SEC locals are looking to unload them. There are corporate (Coke, UPS, Ga Power, Home Depot etc.) tickets floating around as well that people won't want to use to see this game. Prices have already dropped 10-20% online since announcement of game.
Just some FYI to throw out there:
- Mercedes-Benz stadium holds around 71,000 people for an event like this.
- The event "sold out" last year when UCF defeated Auburn 34-27. Auburn is a 90 minute drive from Atlanta. Your typical Georgia, Alabama, Auburn fans travel very well for a game like this. I don't anticipate the same from 9-3 Florida.
- The Michigan lower bowl sideline is "Home or Atlanta Falcons" side because they are the higher ranked team. This includes sections 101-119 / 201-224 / 301-326. This means you want to enter through gates 3 or 4 at the stadium.
- Last years bowl game in Tampa (vs. South Carolina) drew a crowd of 45,000 for a stadium that seats 65,000. Not saying that will happen this year but tickets will NOT be hard to find.
- Atlanta is a great town if you haven't been down. Its a bit of a drive from SE Michigan but there's plenty to do for a family or dudes trip. Awesome breweries to tour as well.
- Alcohol sales will be permitted in stadium because I attended a CFP game hosted before and they served.
I'll jump on this one for sure. You can add Jourdan Lewis 2016 against FSU in the endzone to this list. I know its blasphemous to knock the defense around here but we need that knockout blow against top competition this year. Hoping the guys can deliver.
I’m with you. I feel the only thing that will dramatically “fix” the line will be better players. Not saying cant be done though. Ruiz gets his shot this year, seems to be the real deal at center. Junior Bredeson > Soph Bredeson. Tackle is still the wildcard though. Tough to say.
Really need an app. I used to check the blog multiple times a day and now I just don’t use it as often. It’s a nightmare to access and navigate on mobile. Would gladly pay to get if off the ground.
I’m just going to echo some of the other comments posted.
The new site is not easy to read on mobile. Scrolling for days. Endless “white space”. Far too many clicks to get to the MGoBoard. Not being able to view the author of the mgoboard thread.
This is 2018. There are millions of apps available in the app stores. I feel the blog should have one. Put HUEL on it. Charge $0.99 if you have to. I long for the days of the HD app.
O’Korn loves to blame everyone around him. Tries to motivate and be the “good teammate” but clearly in over his head. Just not a good player on the field. Convinces Harbaugh he can do more than he actually can. Hurts the team as a result.
I would run through a fucking wall for Don Brown. Could/should be a head coach. Unreal charisma out of that guy.
Pep is a good dude. I feel the Amazon series downplayed Drevno just bc Michigan told them to.
Speight clearly took his injury hard. Can’t blame the guy but,bI feel he wasn’t there in 2017. Was NOT ready to lead this team to greatness. Clear physical limitations.
Larry Prout and Newsome episode will CRUSH your soul. Not great documentary work but just an unbelievable story. If you don’t have a feeling you’re not human.
Get used to the apps not working, its a regular occurance. Funny about how all the negativity about the iOS HD App was swept under the rug with NSD. Still pissed its gone. "Official" iOS app is a joke. HD App was far superior.
This really sucks. I'm a huge HD app fan. The original one is not even close to its functionality. It's a sad day. Yes I get it's free, blah blah, but come on dude. If funding is really the problem set up a gofundme.
As a graduate of UM-D, I can honestly say my degree has carried some incredible weight. I majored in Biology, and received a great education that prepared me for continuing graduate level work. I did well on my MCAT and GRE becasue of the education I received. I'm now a Chiropractor in Atlanta and haven't looked back. I'm sure I would have been as equally prepared if I chose to attend AA. The chice for me ultimately came down to time/money. I saved thousands by staying home and commuting vs relocating to AA from my hometown.
Ultimately, the degree will be worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If you encounter an employer who values the U-M name (very likely in 90% of circumstances) you should be golden. FWIW, Mary Sue signed my diploma.
I've had the same issue. The podcasts are not automatically updating as before. The search feature does help with the work around though. I'm sure an update is in the works soon.
Sweetwater Hash Brown next to my stunning, well lit, outdoor, fire pit. Gorgeous fall weather here in Atlanta. And the dawgs/tech suck so it's extra amazing this year.
No. The CFP committee values the conference championship above ALL other tie-breakers. If you don't win your conference, you have no chance of getting in. It would be unprecedented, given its third year of existence, for a non-conference champion to enter the CFP. There's a first time for everything though. Hopefully we don't have to play this card.

You put DM behind this O line and not sure how much of his “it-factor” will function. No running game to lean on at all.

What game did you watch? Do you honestly think having any of those guys out there today makes a difference?!?!
We dropped passes.
We can’t stay inbounds.
We let sean routes eat our secondary alive.
We can’t pressure the QB.
We gave up 250 rush yards at 6.1yd / play.
This TEAM and program are toast. The worst part...our lord and savior...Jim MF Harbaugh has no CLUE how to fix it.
