Seeing sources say 3 star Berrien Springs MI DT Phillip Paea committed. Edit: now Sam Webb is reporting it too. Second Edit: Wolverine247 reports Paea's commitment is official now On why he picked M: "Coach Tuioti was a big factor in why my visit went so well," he told Wolverine247 at the time. "He really made me feel at home and showed me why Michigan could be a great place for me."

Paea is a bit raw, and he won't blow you away as some other top prospects will. But he has the attributes and athletic potential to play three different positions on the DL and may be an as good or better OG prospect. Underrated kid, I think he'll end up a low to mid 4 star by the time it's done. Not quite as athletic, but similar to a Wormly as a prospect.

I agree he kinda looks like Wormley now, but I have a feeling he'll be a lot bigger than Wormley by the time he's seeing the field.  He looks trim at the 285 he's listed and I think he'll be more like Mone-sized.  And I'm not just saying that because they're cousins, but maybe partially.

Mone was rated as a SDE when he committed to Michigan too.  Those Islander boys can hold a lot of weight.

I like it. doesn't have that great burst off the line like Henry, Hurst or Dwumfour have but shows a lot of athletic ability, very fluid. reminds me more of Wormley how be moves.
