So proud and honored to be the coach of Michael Shuster who just got off the phone with Coach Harbaugh and committed to Michigan!

2016 QB from Camp Hill, PA

edit: Lorenz from 247 says he's hearing it's as a PWO

Maybe we're concentrating on getting scholarship linebackers?

I mean, can you blame Harbaugh for loading up on QBs?  Obviously he doesn't have much confidence in Morris or Speight.  We'll only have O'Korn for 2 years, Gentry may very well end up a TE, Vic may very well end up a LB, and who knows how good Malzone really is.  People were ripping on Hoke for only taking 1 QB per cycle, now people are questioning Harbaugh taking more than 1 QB per cycle.  JUB was right I guess.  M fans are never happy unless they're unhappy.

at any position? You add good players where you can find them. He's not taking a place away from anyone else. There's no limit to how many walkons you can have on the team during the season.

You take him because even if there is a 1% chance he is a NFL QB, now there is an additional 1% chance your roster contains a NFL QB. This additional 1% comes with no additional risk. It's a freeroll.

I don't understand why people are freaking out at the possibility, remote as it may be, of handing out a scholarship to a under-the-radar recruit. If for the sake of the argument, was offered a scholarship, why are people freaking out when we already have a 5 star in tow and our head coach is a QB guru. Guy has an eye for QBs. Be happy we got him and stop being stupid star chasers.

It's crazy that the 5th best passer by yards and TD's in the 6th most populated states history of high school football is completely under the radar.

"The 6-3, 200-pounder has pieced together a brilliant high school career and currently stands fifth all-time in Pennsylvania with 8,728 passing yards. His 101 career touchdown passes also ranks fifth best."

Camp Hill is one of the smallest schools in the state with 25-40 kids per grade. The school consists of basically 3 very wealthy neighborhoods in Central Pennsylvania. I have friends that coach in the area and they say he looks great on the field against very small subpar competition. He also has the benefit of throwing to maybe the top tight end in the 2018 class in Zach Kuntz (6'8 240 4.9) who many in the area think is a 5 star prospect and the best player in the area since 5-star Noah Spence.

The kid is definitely pretty smart, has the measurables (6'3 190 4.8 40 yrd), and overall he's a great athlete.

The surrounding area (Harrisburg) Kuntz is from has produced LeSean McCoy, former Wolverine Jason Kates, and Aaron Berry (all of whom I graduated with), as well as tons of others studs.

I would say this is big, especially if it helps lure Kuntz who I know is a ND and PSU lean.
