Is Harbaugh stubborn or too Bo like

Question for the board. Now mind you, all the talk we heard was really media generated, but why didn't we see some of the young talent we have been hearing about. We did see Christian Turner a ton, but that was it. Not only that, I thought when Evan's got his opportunities he was fine. Nothing against Tru, but both of those guys are better. Where was Jeter? Where was Anthony and McGrone? Why was Jamarick Woods and Jordan Glasgow playing LB. I know we were really hurt on the line when Paye went out and then Gill went out, but I gotta believe our young LB's are better than a walk on viper at LB. Now I know we wanna blame Don Brown, but the guys playing played like shit. Busted coverages on crucial 3rd downs, and missed tackles on long runs. I believe due to a safety and viper playing LB. It's just me venting, but the offense needs a scheme change, and the defense just needs players, who are in position, to make plays. At least we have basketball season.

Evans, Wilson and Turner are not good (I'm sure they are fine human beings...just observing their play that's all).  All three are average B10 backs with a ceiling of perhaps being a bit better than an average B10 back.  None of those three guys are scaring any DC's.

On a few plays, it looked like Evans stopped running before he got hit.  Like he was going to make a cut, but got tackled instead.  He’s not the type to run through guys.  Like you said, put him in space and dump a short pass to him.

Can't wait for next year! More body blows, Devin Gil, Shea short arming easy touchdowns, two tight end sets, fullback dives, etc. So much excitement!

Or getting a delay of game penalty after a kick off return. The last two games have been worse than anything under Hoke or even RR. I never thought a Harbaugh coached team would look this bad, especially since he has way more talent here than he ever had at Stanford.

Yeah, wolverineRX is gone now, as are a couple others. I mean, there's bitching and complaining, which is fine, then there is being an asshole to people who may not express their disappointment or disillusionment with the same level of over-the-top vitriol, up to and including calling them names and questioning their fandom. That level of toxic.....yeah, we'll skip that. To people like that, be better people.

Welcome to the party, pal! I've been saying this since season 2!

Jim is an old school football guy like he's an old school Catholic. Some things are sacred and will never change.

I would think that for most Michigan fans (not criticizing your standard, just what I would think the masses would believe) a "special Michigan team" is one that wins the B10, beats OSU and then goes on to play competitively or win a Bowl Game.

I don't know of many Michigan fans who would describe a team as "special" that gets blown out by ND (that game was not close as the score), gets historically beaten by OSU and then gets blown out in their Bowl Game.

Not questioning your fandom or calling you a crappy Michigan loyalist, but I do think your idea of a "special" Michigan is much different than most.  But I could be wrong.

Bo is dead. It's a moot point.

What I'd like to see is Harbaugh get more Beilein-like.

Beilein was willing to go out of his comfort zone and make continuous, often radical, adjustments to keep getting better and better.

It was not easy for him, but he did it.  And the results paid off.

He did not keep just chasing the same system year after year.

True but that was in part because his teams had a couple years of bad luck and injuries while also being insanely soft mentality wise and on defense.  Of course he took some big risks with coaching hires and modifying his approach and fixed it all but at the time the trajectory didn't look good.

In short, if Harbaugh makes coaching changes again this off-season there is still hope.    If not forget about it

You’re right. After that Saturday night home OSU lost where we got our muscles by a 6’4 PG out rebounding our bigs.

That team had leaders step up however. Walton and Irvin willed that team and Wilson and Wagner followed the lead. Then Beilein bored Yaklich and he’s had two teams with not as highly talented rosters look superior to teams of the past. Beilein wasn’t satisfied. He saw he didn’t have the team to shoot 30 3’s a game and make 10. He adjusted, and admitted where he needed help.

He’s both stubborn and like Bo when it comes to winning games but never the big ones consistently. He desperately wants his offense to show up on a big stage so he can finally prove he was right BUT it never happens. I’ve been saying he is stubborn all year, but now I think the word would be “denial.”  He refuses to see what’s actually happening over and over again hanging on “some day” it might work. Insanity at its most basic level.

Awful take. There is plenty of talent on our offense. Harbaugh just uses it poorly. Urban Meyer at his best would have played in the CFP with this team. Harbaugh is either not as good as we all thought, or he's lost five steps.

That's just not true.  When you have an average (or inferior) OL, you ADAPT.  You adjust.  You go with more quick passes.  You SET UP screens that can devastate the defense.  You SET UP long passes (with max protect, roll outs, trick plays) to punish the defense that is attacking the short pass.

In order words, you DO SOMETHING, instead of whining about OL play or complaining about lack of execution.
