Harbaugh introduces the Employee of the Year Award

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Every facet of the program he pays attention to. Every detail.

From the color of the goalposts being changed in the offseason from white to Maize, to bringing back black shoes and white socks.

The winner gets an all-expense paid trip to the Citrus Bowl and a cash prize.

This is actually a really neat gesture, recognizing how many people it takes to make that place function from day to day. We focus much on just the football, but we sometimes forget that without a sizeable support staff, the football probably wouldn't happen quite like we would want it to happen. Hopefully, we get a chance to at least congratule the winner (whether they read the blog or not).

Meh. WD is much more suited for dealing more with people so that he can make a bigger impression on folks. Crunching numbers and just running statistical analysis and shit wouldn't be the best use of him or make him nearly as happy compared to a number of other roles

Start, end, and always be awarded to Jim Hackett. Or they should call it The "Jim Hackett" Employee of the Year Award with the winner getting a cash bonus, an expensed paid trip to whatever bowl game Michigan is in, and a yellow watch.

I had the pleasure of sitting in front of her at a game, she was hosting an Alum Player from the 97 team (can't remember his name).  She was awesome, telling stories about working for Bo and it was obvious how much she loved her job.  I know from 30 years in the workforce that a good admin assistant runs the show!!

Mary Passink has worked for Michigan football since I was 13 years old. I'm going to be 50 (!) next month. Even if you're not familiar with her tireless efforts to make UM football the best, you can do simple math. That's true devotion to our favorite team. She's in a league of her own.

JH showed up at the annual year end banquet for the ushers. Thanked them for all they did and got a standing O. Apparently Hoke never went. Doubt that Brandon did either.
