there were teams who have him at 2nd round without the character red flags. Seattle just basically ignored the character red flags and took Frank Clark at 2nd. That was months before the draft when I first hear of his round grade.

How does a guy like this even start out as a walk on?

See Jack Conklin, see Eric Fisher.
OL development is so difficult to project. When 265 lb guys are "dominating" 210 opponents in HS how does that project 4 years down the road? When they face people as big as them? Then move on to speed. Some guys who play at schools of 900 to 1200 people may never face a future D1 athlete in their life on the DL in HS. Or face 1 a year. What about mental challenges of learning the position? OL must work togethe runlike say a WR who can be his own actor. Resiliency? Heart on field? Study habits in film room? etc.
Everything is difficult to project but nothing more than OL. See our 2012 and 2013 classes.
As for Glasgow I did feel he was underrated because having the ability to play 2 positions on a NFL OL is a valued component on a 53 man roster (and 45 active on game day I believe). Worst case this is a 6th, 7th OL guy that you can play for 12 years who can always go in immediately if 3 of the 5 guys on your OL fall out of a game with injury. That seems like 5th round value at worst to me. Esp when one of those positions is so specialized as center.
