Fitz and Clark's names removed from lockers
Just got back from my private Michigan Stadium tour as a birthday gift. I HIGHLY recommend it, Bill Austin, gives the tours and they're definitely worth the $100. Absolutely amazing. Got to go into the skyboxes, suites, lockeroom and onto the field. Even got to see the Little Brown Jug and Heisman from Desmond.
Something that really alarmed me was the locker of Fitz Toussaint. It read #28 and the nameplate that would say his name was replaced with the blank they use for lockers not in use. (Pictured)
Upon seeing this, I went over to where #57 should've been for Frank Clark. The only #57 there was for Elliott Mealer. There wasn't even an empty locker between him and #58 Chris Bryant.
Not sure what this means, neither did Bill. Maybe the players have to earn their names (or in Clark's case, his locker) back into the locker room. You decide...
Also on on a sidenote, Drake Johnson will wear #29 and Sione Houma will wear #39.
Also here is what the B1G logos look like on the field now that they're finished. The B is not Blue, it is actually transparent and is green turf colored.
That could be part of their punishment. Like when Tate had his wings taken off. This is probably a symbollic way of saying they have to earn their way back on the team.
I really hope that is the case because I started sweating when I saw this.
I also hope they both make it back. If they were repeat offenders I'd have less patience, but hopefully this is something they can learn from and never make the same mistake again.
Wow, interesting to contrast this info. with what Hoke said about not addressing it with the team as whole, so as to not take focus from the team.
Great stuff though, thanks for sharing.
I like the strong statement if they have to work to get back, and that he is dealing with it at the team leval rather than in the public.
Pretty sure Stonum still had a locker all of last year (at least when I saw it). Might mean bad news...
His punishment was set. He still practiced and played a role on the scout team.
IMO this means that Fitz will still be on the team and Frank will be back in Glenville where he can use all the nasty words on his twitter account again.
Seems like disciplinary action in line with Hoke's message about the higher standard of being a Michigan Man.
Right here, sir.

You can bring up to 10 people for $100. I had two others with me and trust me, you will never regret spending the money on it.
I will be taking 45 preschoolers on said tour next week! Schools and non-profits are $2/person. This will be our second year taking kids to the stadium - very memorable for all!
Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll take my MSU and OSU cousins. I'm sure they'd love it!! ....on second thought, that would be as bad as an atheist walking into church!!! I'll leave them at home!
Those tours are great. I highly recommend them.
Hey Bill, I was going to ask the same thing.
Interesting how each was handled differently...
In other news, #39 HOUMA. Like it.
#39 HOUMA Fullbackian fullback who fullbacks.
Now this is a post! First hand information with pictures to back it up. So refreshing after wading through these long threads analyzing some kid's cryptic tweet to nowhere. Thank you.
Where are the pictures? I don't see them.
EDIT: double post, sorry!
DOUBLE EDIT: I'm at work now (XP, IE8) and feel stupid for having even asked about the pictures yesterday because, low and behold, there they are right inline with the OP. No idea why I wasn't able to see them last night on my MBA running Chrome (it wasn't even showing a broken image icon, an obvious gap, etc). Feel free to reply to this if you have any ideas or insights as to what the problem may be because I'm stumped!
On a seperate note I don't like seeing anyone other than a corner wear 29 these days. I wish Blake would have snatched it.
until he gets the #2 jersey next year! (Hopefully)
It's hard not to have high hopes for him. He was basically our #1 corner as a true freshman who didn't enroll early.
I could safely assume this is Brady's way of making them earn their way out of the doghouse OR
stupid ass big ten logo ruining the field......I hate you Delaney.
Maybe they should have made the entire logo "transparent."
Actually it didn't look so bad on the field in person.
That was my thought too. The logos actually look fine out there--except for the B1G thing. I still think that's ridiculous.
Wait, there are more logos, besides the B1G one?
No, using the number "1" instead of the letter "I" to spell a word is ridiculous. It doesn't even shorten the "word"!
Get off my lawn, you damn kids with your Twitter.
Doesn't even shorten the "w0rd"?
do they have their Wings?
I'm sure Hokeamania ran wild on both these dudes. I've got high hopes for Fitz this year
Probably spending some time at Michigan's player development school (BCC).
Bolivia Community College.
I doubt the players have even been in the stadium that much so far. It would be much more significant if it was in the locker room in Schembechler. Plus things like that get stolen or the player takes them home after every year (I know several people who do this).
It's you!! Any insider information next month?
Your info has routinely proven entirely too valuable. I also noticed that the lockers didn't seem to be the nice ones we had been seeing pictures of before, which confused me. I get it now. The players main lockers are at Schembechler.
Eh, the field doesn't look as bad as I thought. Could've been worse... they could've made it baby blue.
True, but it's still an advertisement that just looks out of place.
When you consider that neither Tate or Austin White are with the program anymore, perhaps in retrospect it wasn't all that effective.
Yeah, public humiliation always works well.
