Have always received trophies just for showing up to an event. It's not your fault. I also remember Cal Tech regularly hacking the scoreboard at the Rose Bowl with Cal Tech beating MIT.
I remember the year the Rose Bowl hired "experts" to keep the pranks from happening again and were assured their system had been properly firewalled. 4Q comes and its Cal Tech beating MIT again.
