End of January/It's Friday Posbang

Submitted by nmumike on

I do not know about you, but I am happy we are done with January. I don't think it has been this cold for this long in quite some time.

Having said that, it's Friday! What are you doing this weekend other than watching the Superbowl and MBB play at Indiana?

I will be going to Tired Hands Brewing, if you live anywhere near or around Philadelphia, I highly recommend heading over there for some great food and beer. Enjoy the weekend everyone, and GO BLUE!

On a side note, I have the Seahawks winning by 3, 27-24.

I am in southern Michigan. Today I was stunned to see half a dozen robins flitting around in the trees. A couple of them seemed to be getting ... amorous. It is about 20 degrees which feels like you want to get out and wash your car it's been so cold. Don't know if these little dudes jumped the gun and flew back from Tennessee or wherever a bit early. They could start falling from the sky like avian Popsicles in a few days, but they are back. Pos that.

It's amazing how much you stop caring about the ins and outs of recruiting drama when you actually have a team to root for that's performing well on the court or on the field.  Fuck the future - I just want to enjoy the current run this basketball team is on.  Hopefully the football team can follow suit with a strong performance in 2014.

Frankly January was pretty good to the Maize & Blue faithful. Hopefully more of the same in February.

A little break on the snow and cold would be nice though. However, if its the price we pay to keep winning in basketball, I'll take the trade off.

Finally, MGOFROG RULES!

If... you happen to be one of us unfortunate souls in the greater Columbus area.  I'll be somewhere on the Olentangy Trail, as soon as I wake up and can drag myself out into the (relatively balmy!) 30-degree morning.
