It would be nice to see EMU bowling. NIU seems so much better so far.
November 25th, 2011 at 11:30 AM ^
Is it still possible for EMU to get to a bowl? They have 6 wins now, but they need 7 or 8, I don't remember which (because they played 2 FCS teams). This is their last game.
November 25th, 2011 at 11:40 AM ^
1 FCS team and they beat 2. So 7 is correct, not 8. EMU needs to beat NIU. However, NIU is also playing for a MAC West title. They beat Toledo 63-60, so they win the tiebreaker. A win over EMU is an auto-bid to the MAC Championship.

Thinking about going home early for football. I'm on-call as well so work will follow me so what's the point.

This is also called the leftover thread.
November 25th, 2011 at 11:56 AM ^
Sorry if this isn't the right thread but I cannot create one. I'm looking for 2 tickets to the Ohio game tomarrow. This will be my first ever Michigan game. Thanks

stub hub may be an option. if not take a ton of cash with you and go to the stadium. someone will be out there looking to make some cash. Just keep in mind they won't come cheap.
November 25th, 2011 at 12:06 PM ^
How much is a "ton of cash"?
November 25th, 2011 at 12:28 PM ^
It's about 2,000 lbs of cash if you want to know what a ton of cash would be :)

I remember my high school teacher awhile back inviting my family to watch the game at DJs Dugout in Bellevue. It was the year we were 1&2. But DJs is huge, there should be a lot of fans of both teams there since it's near the military base so lots of Michigan and Ohio natives in the area.

Beat Ohio!

Championship games personally. OLSM is on next right? I'm looking forward watching James Ross for the first time! Boy Mendon can play some D....I know it's division 8, but those kids come up and HIT, heads up, wrap and run through the ball carrier.

Houston may have their hands full today. 7-0 Golden Hurricane

houston losing opens another bcs spot. So, the loser of the oklahoma/ok state game would be the most likely. If oklahoma loses and drops below 14, then k state is the most likely (although I could see boise getting an at large over them)
November 25th, 2011 at 12:24 PM ^
Looks like Nebraska is continuing its derp from last week. A 16 yard punt by Nebraska...derp
November 25th, 2011 at 12:25 PM ^
In the hypothetical world where Houston loses today and when we beat Ohio tomorrow, what happens BCS-wise? Do we get someone like Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl?
November 25th, 2011 at 12:32 PM ^
This is why I'm rooting for Houston. It's a double edged sword though because if things fall incorectly, it may cost Michigan a BCS bid.
November 25th, 2011 at 12:34 PM ^
this is why I'm rooting for tulsa. I could definitely see Georgia winning the SEC title game and taking away our BCS spot
November 25th, 2011 at 12:34 PM ^
If Bama/LSU play in the championship that'd be it for the SEC right? 2 team max per conference.
November 25th, 2011 at 12:37 PM ^
the exception of the rule is if the teams that are #1 and #2 are not conference champions.
November 25th, 2011 at 12:30 PM ^
houston TD.
7-7

7-6 Tulsa. Blocked PAT.

Saw a thing at the bottom of the screen for the KFC Cheesy Bacon Bowl. Thought it was the sort of bowl that matches up teams from the MWC and C-USA. There are too many bowl games.

52-yard FG for Tulsa. Would have been good from 60.

Taylor Martinez seriously reminds me of one of those kids who was born lefthanded and forced to "become" righthanded. His throwing motion seems totally unnatural.
November 25th, 2011 at 1:18 PM ^
Neb 10 Iowa 0 : 39 2Q. Beautiful Play Action fake by Martinez
November 25th, 2011 at 1:21 PM ^
Easy pitch and catch. 13-10 Houston. Earlier, Tulsa opted to go for it on 4th and 1 at the Houston 18 and didn't get it, so it could have been tied now.
November 25th, 2011 at 1:26 PM ^
Can hardly blame them Tulsa for going for it. When you play an offense like Houston's, you need touchdowns, not field goals
November 25th, 2011 at 1:45 PM ^
Just pointing out that Tulsa has had more chances than the score indicates.
November 25th, 2011 at 1:26 PM ^
Who winning helps M more?
November 25th, 2011 at 1:29 PM ^
LSU I think. As much as I hate it, I believe an LSU/Bama re-match helps UM best. Provided we beat Ohio.
So, beat Ohio.
November 25th, 2011 at 1:29 PM ^
Maybe LSU (we might leapfrog Arkansas with a win tomorrow), but ultimately it's probably not a big deal either way.
November 25th, 2011 at 1:33 PM ^
Michigan is in a really good position if the status quo holds. A win by Arkansas sets up a bunch of weird scenarios that are better not to contemplate. LSU and 'Bama winning out sets up Michigan in for the Sugar Bowl against a beatable team. Michigan isn't ready to play LSU or Alabama yet.
November 25th, 2011 at 2:36 PM ^
So root for Bama this weekend also? (shudder)
November 25th, 2011 at 1:45 PM ^
considering the bet that I made with my brother in law I hope that LSU covers. but that's just me.

Eastern has the ball on the NIU with 1:53 left in the game down 18-12. 3rd and 25 though....
