With the class they are putting together, JoePa will never retire.

why would he? He doesn't coach anymore and he can still add victories to his career win total.

or die more likely.

One recruit doesn't bug me.
At this time last year - we were a mess as far as recruiting - and folks were even mentioning his Tateness as an afterthought.
I suspect we'd agree that we finished alright.
We can't land everybody, folks!

Sounded like he always wanted to stick around in the East, and Penn St. had their hooks in him early. Tough to lose a DE, but I still think the recruiting class will be solid, especially if the team keeps winning.

This is what should happen when there's a vacuum at one position. PSU lost a couple defensive ends and didn't have much depth . . . and now high school seniors are lining up to take those spots.
Now if only some defensive players would see our lack of depth and take the same approach . . .

Exactly... are high school seniors not seeing our lack of depth at linebacker?

More and more it is apparent to me that the quality of the year N recruiting class is directly related to the quality of the N-2 season. Penn State is pulling in a monster class for '10 because of their '08 season. Our '10 class will be subpar by Michigan standards because of our horrible '08 season. Our '11 class will be the true measuring stick of how well Rodriguez can go up against the big boys.

If it makes you feel better, there almost out of schollies

It does.
In particular I hope to hear Joe Pa have to tell that to a few recruits we may be eyeing.
Joe Pa: Sorry Sharrif Floyd and Khairi Fortt , we ran out of scholarships.
Rich Rod: Come on down to Michigan, we have wings on our helmets!

a Larry Johnson Sr on the defensive staff.

class that the old man is pulling in this year. That's okay though, because Penn State is my second favorite Big 10 team.
