Dedicated Slingbox HD to watch games?

Submitted by karpodiem on
For those of you who may want to watch Michigan games online since you're at work or away - would you be willing to rent out a Slingbox for $3 a game? I'm thinking about getting a second Slingbox HD. I have my Slingbox running 24x7 for some other friends, which chews up my upstream bandwidth. I'd temporarily pause that for the Michigan game. Let me know.

He said he was thinking about getting a second slingbox. I might have been down if we had won the last 3 games. As it is, I'll probably just take my chances with justin.tv

I like the offer...too bad i didn't have it 6 months ago...i am living in Switzerland for the next 2 yrs and got a complete set up with a buddy in NoCal....Tivo/Slingbox at my disposal at his house 24/7 in exchange for paying for the boxes and the service upgrades to his cable service and broadband speed upgrade....its a steal vs paying for poor sat TV options here that are very expensive....i also got the slingcatcher so i can either watch on my PC here or on the big screen TV with a remote control....pretty cool stuff....resolution is still not where it needs to be on the big screen, but it beats the limited alternatives here.... Good luck finding some takers
