Crisler row numbering specifically lower bowl

Submitted by TheDirtyD on October 18th, 2021 at 9:33 PM

Trying to get floor seats to a home game, I'm trying to see which sideline rows actually sit on the court in the lower bowl. I am aware that some sections rows 1 are directly behind the bench. In other sections that are not behind the respective teams benches is row one on the court or is it another format eg, A, 0, AA.

If someone could who knows the row order in the lower bowl that would be great. Thanks.

Yes I am aware its football season. Regardless I promise to be loud.

If I remember correctly, the benches for both Michigan and the opponent sit between Sections 120 through 126, with ours being closer to the 120-122 area, I believe. If you can get into or near those sections, it's just a matter of getting down the floor if you can.

Although I have never been close to these seats for men’s basketball, I have enjoyed sitting in the front row of chairs on the court for women’s hoops and volleyball. They are on the opposite side of the floor from where the teams sit and are labeled Row A.

Completely and utterly unrelated to your actual question this post reminded me of my senior year at Michigan (1981) where I had floor seats directly next to the visitors bench (they were to my immediate left).  Back then there was no "maize rage" and students were sort of piled up behind the baskets but being a senior I had the coveted floor seat.

One of our nationally televised games (they weren't on TV for every game like they are now) a ball rolled out of bounds and directly to me.  I stood up, got the ball and passed it the official but forgot that the seats folded up automatically so in front of God, my fellow Michigan fans there at Crisler Arena and the rest of the free world watching college basketball that Saturday I sat back down and fell straight down on my ass.   LOTS of people came up over the next several days remarking that they saw me fall down and just how funny it was.  Thank GOD this was before ESPN & the internet or I would've been an instant meme much like the dude is today after the botched MSU punt in 2015.

Example for floor seats on home end of court:

Level C

Section 114 (e.g. end of court on home side although it seems like they should be 116 or 118)

Row A (e.g. first row on the court versus B = second row from the court)

Seat 1 - 10 (with 1 under hoop and 10 nearest the bench)

Not sure how they're numbered on sidelines, but assume that the assigned section number correlates to where they place Seat 1.
