Creek Out = Michigan's Chances of Dancing Up

Tough break (sorry for the pun) for Indiana, but this really could help Michigan. With two games against IU out of the first five, we really need wins in both to have a shot. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=4778061 You don't hear of many broken knees. Usually ligaments or at least a mention of the knee cap. I hope he is able to recover fully for next season. Like it or not, the Big 10 needs Indiana to right itself sooner, rather than later.

Can you fracture your knee? Wouldn't you have to fracture your femur, your tibia, your fibula, or some combination of the three? I wasn't aware that the knee is technically a body part.

It didn't look that bad on the replays to be honest. There was a brief buckle but nothing that would have indicated any type of seriousness until he grabbed it in pain. Pretty sure Indiana was up 25 at this point and I don't know why the hell Creek was even at the game at that point although Indiana needs all the wins they can get in non-conference so who knows.

As if beating IU wasn't a necessity already, them losing Mo Creek makes it even more so. If we can't beat IU without Creek, that would be a very bad sign and extremely difficult to overcome. I don't want to go so far as to say an at-large NCAA tourney invite would be impossible if we lose at IU, because there's still a lot of basketball to play, but I don't think it's far from the truth.
